Stayed Aug 21, 2025Overall an ok stay. We were informed a week or so before our arrival date that our reservation would have to be changed from the arrow cottage to the sparrow cottage. Not a big issue. However, we were given the check-in info for the arrow cottage and when we arrived at 10PM we WENT INTO SOMEONE ELSES STAY because the host had sent us incorrect information. The host gave us the address and key code for SOMEONE ELSE’S VRBO! This could have been a very dangerous situation! Waking into someone else’s stay at 10PM.Host was difficult to get ahold of to get correct check in for the correct check-in information but did eventually send the correct address and correct key code. We were able to get into our correct stay before 11PM. Bed in the middle room was incredibly uncomfortable and springs squeaked loudly with every tiny move. The front room bed frame and shelf above the bed was dusty. The bathroom ceiling is LOW. Anyone over 5’7” cannot comfortably stand in the bathroom.Cleanliness was surface level. When attempting to plug things in there was a lot of dust on cabinets and under furniture. We noticed gnats flying around.Hosts left complimentary alcohol in the fridge which we found to be inappropriate. The host should not assume the people staying are comfortable with alcohol being present. Location is fantastic if you are seeing a show at Hayden Homes Amphitheater, but I would imagine there are better hosts in the same neighborhood.
