Great location with easy access to town. Can’t beat the creek for little kids.
Patio area was perfection listening to the babbling brook and watching wildlife. Ate, played card games and made memories! Inside cabin was quaint and comfortable. Loved our stay and we will be back!
We had a much needed, relaxing break from the Texas heat. The cabin is very rustic but cozy and fairly clean. Kitchen had everything we needed and was very nice. The best thing was the deck overlooking the river. It enhanced our stay and was just what we were hoping for!
We had a girls' weekend getaway to Ruidoso in August, and we loved the Apple Tree cottage and the Upper Canyon area. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything a home cook needs, so that was a pleasant surprise. We baked, made soup, and lots of snacks and had every pan and utensil we needed. The beds were moderately comfortable, but the smaller bedroom has a metal framed bed that is very noisy (needs a little WD 40). The porch and living areas are fantastically cozy. The only complaint we have is that the cabin needs a deep clean. Rustic, yes! Spider webs, dust, dirty vents, and baseboards, not so much. We would definitely stay again but would call ahead and ask for a deep clean before our visit.
Very relaxing 3 night stay
Property was great. It was quiet, and staying there was fantastic. It felt like home away from home.
I actually did not have a chance to stay at the property because the management group, Hummingbird Cabins, moved us to a different location due to plumbing issues. 15 minutes before check-in to the updated place, I was moved to a place that I did not pick or have an option to pick. The updated place actually cost less than the listing I paid for (but I was not refunded a difference). They make you sign a lot of paperwork that is not disclosed in their listing, but they are not transparent that this is required until after you are locked in and do not have an option to cancel. Read: sign or forfeit over $1,000 for a two day stay. They have dishonest and unfair business practices that are not centered around the person visiting. They are not transparent and I will not stay at any cabin managed by them in the future. We were really looking forward to staying at this listing, but we were stuck in a reservation we could not cancel (even though we were redirected to a reservation we did not have any choice in). The place we ended up at did not have the same features and amenities of the place we originally booked. Save your time and avoid this scam.
Very clean. Everything you need for a nice visit.
The pictures don’t favor reality. This cabin was above and beyond our expectation. Very well worth the price tag. We’re coming back soon! Host was amazing at responding any questions promptly.
The perfect weekend getaway cabin! The deck is amazing with the river running behind it.
We enjoyed a quiet time for our family. We joined our son who is in the Army with his fiance and her son for a time of rest and to get to know each other. The cabin was clean and had plenty of character. The location was just what we needed to get away and get time for our family.
