This property should be your last resort if no other property is available. It was embarrassing walking into this house. The grass in the front yard was knee high. The counter tops were dirty and the refrigerator, mentioned in the prior post, still had the operational manuals inside the frig which probably means it had not been cleaned since April 2025. To make matters worse, the cleaning fee for a one night stay was 250 and we were charged a 100 late check out fee. Total cost for less than a 24 hour stay was greater than 500. This was my first VRBO experience—obviously not a good first impression.

The house was very nice and well appropriated. It served perfectly for the long term arrangement we needed. We arrived late on the first day and found a strong smell of natural gas. Our visitor had to stay the first night in a hotel until the gas was confirmed all clear. The local property assistant could not get the hot water tank re-lit, so I had to do it. About a month into the stay, the refrigerator failed. The owner had nobody local that could take care of the situation, so our guest had to spend a morning, not at work, but waiting for Lowes to delivery the new refrigerator. Unfortunately, I think with a local owner both of the situations we had could have been made easier on us. No financial relief offer was made by the owner to try to ease these situations.

This house is gorgeous… the area is peace filled and quick to the mill… if you come to see a show. It is close to everything. The trees are glorious. Great space to stay while visiting Terre Haute.

We were first time vendors at the Covered Bridge Festival and initially booked for 11 days. Host was excellent, provided everything we needed! Tvs in every bedroom and the living room were set up for streaming services, kitchen had a lot of appliances from a keurig and French press to an air fryer. Washer and dryer were a nice addition. We were even able to add on 2 days to our trip with no trouble. Home was very clean and spacious, neighborhood was quiet and perfect for our stay! Would definitely recommend and stay again in the future!

This was such a wonderful place to stay! It was spacious, comfortable, and felt very safe. The neighborhood was great, and the host was extremely communicative. There was even a full basement with laundry facilities! The kitchen even had coffee and other items, although we were in town visiting family so did not need to make use of it. The only thing I might mention is to bring some body soap or at soap as I did for the bathroom - it had shampoo and conditioner though! I would highly recommend this place, and I plan on staying here again when visiting family.

My friend and I were in town for work. We are insurance adjusters and were present to help with the storm. This is much nicer than staying in a hotel as you have multiple rooms, laundry, and a kitchen. The house has good wifi and is in a quiet neighborhood. Many of the houses original trim features are intact making it a warm inviting property. I would stay again.
