Town: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrnd robwllantysiliogogogoch, also known as Llanfairpwllgwyngyll or Llanfair PG, is a village on the island of Anglesey with the longest place name in Europe. Its Welsh name, St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel adjacent to the ferocious whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave, was coined in 1860 as a marketing ploy for the nearby railroad station. Llanfair PG, near the Menai Straits and the Britannia Bridge, is a wonderful place to raise a family.
