Great location on the river. Caught fish as long as we wanted to which was a big part of our stay.
The views were amazing. The deck had some places that need repair, there were a lot of light bulbs out. We all expected it to be clear by the retaining wall, but it wasn't. Also the two grills are super nasty, one had wasp nests in it. The road to get there needs a lot more work, especially for what you pay. The right side of the upper deck had all kinds of stuff on it. We had to clean and bring chairs around to the front deck, wasn't expecting to have to do that on vacation.
Great location, beautiful views. Great memories made
Great home and beautifully set up
Enjoyed the solitude and space of the cabin. A little chilly to enjoy some of the outdoor activities but lots of opportunities for that in warmer weather. Hope to be back one day!
This was our 2nd time staying here and it was just as great as the first time. We had everything we needed and plenty of room. The only issue we had was that the wifi was not working. Someone came out the next morning but we were told it was not fixable in the time frame we were there. It was not horrible not having wifi. You can get service going down to the river.
Loved the cabin. Beautiful location. Peaceful and quite right on the rivers edge. Will definitely be coming back this fall. The drive threw the woods made the adventure even better. You do have to drive a truck or suv to this location a car will will not make it.
I’ll start w my only complaint. The driveway down to the property. If I had known about its treachery then I would of planned accordingly. There is a point where the long path down goes strait down and it’s all gravel. I drove a 2010 dodge journey to save on fuel. It took 5 attempts to crest the hill coming back up. I had to turn traction control off and literally floor the vehicle nonstop til I got to the top. I have an AWD vehicle and again if I had known about the drive I would of simply brought that vehicle. Enough about that! The place is nothing short of amazing. The views are INCREDIBLE, vaulted ceilings, simple yet comforting decor, the kitchen is stocked well w anything U could want for cooking. The grill is ready to take on any cooking u choose, the outdoor fire pit is set perfectly along the retaining wall so you can see the water below. Kayaks are at the ready for a wonderfully peaceful float up or down the river. Just know that at 10am the dam let’s out and the water rises 3’ so the flow increases substantially. It’s still fun to kayak w it flowing harder, just a tiny bit harder to get stopped where ya want. The bathrooms were well stocked w towels and basic amenities, the beds were quite comfortable and plenty of pillows for those who desire more than one. The basement bunk beds were a perfect fit for our group of kids. The laid claim to the basement w/in seconds of arriving and thoroughly enjoyed running around and sliding along the concrete floor in their socks. The TV NEVER got turned on. ? The owners communication was spot on. Kept us informed and quickly answered any questions we had. Would I come back? ABSOLUTELY! No doubt. Would just bring the right vehicle this time. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Sorry for the long rant about the driveway.
The road is INSANE! Must have 4x4 or you won’t make it. I was a little disappointed that the river wasn’t swimmable. From the photos it looked like we could spend a good amount of time hanging out on the gravel bar but the water was just too cold to swim, even in July. The current was very strong and the water was deep so there really wasn’t a an ideal way to get across the river. Swimming with kids is a no, but seems like a good fishing spot. The home was really pretty with a gorgeous view. I loved the decor and the beds were very comfortable. The upstairs bathroom just has a bathtub and the sink is very difficult to use. The 3rd bedroom is the basement. There isn’t an official room, but it worked out for our group. The area was so beautiful and there were so many things to do, close by. We spent a day at table rock, another day at Beaver Lake and shopped in the awesome downtown district in Eureka Springs. In 5 days we definitely didn’t have enough time to check out everything the area has to offer, but we’ll be back!
Everything great only issue was road in and out wasn’t quite prepared for the hill out if had of known before would have been better prepared other than that great location and super fishing would do it again
