Great place to stay!

Beautiful place on the water - interior pi’s a work of retro art!!! Host is wonderful!

Debbie was fantastic! She was right there taking care of cold weather problems when I arrived, and very helpful and informative whenever I had a question. Soundhouse was clean and comfortable.

What a great place

My husband and I had such a relaxing stay at the charming Sound House. Views of the water, comfortable quarters, everything we needed to ease in and relax!

This cottage is truly sweet in all aspects. It is located in an area that is close to the main street but far enough away that it is quiet. The sound location is beautiful, we watched the birds every morning while we drank coffee while sitting on the deck. The interior is very nicely decorated in a slightly retro and sophisticated beach vibe. The furniture and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen had the perfect amount of space, dishes, cooking and serving utensils. The outdoor shower (with warm water!!) was also convenient to rinse off beach sand. There was even some starter soap, paper towels and bathroom tissue. The house was very clean. I had the opportunity to communicate with the owner in the weeks prior to our stay and she was very quick in responding to my communications. I would definitely consider renting this house again.

We have stayed here before, so like the location with the view of Pamlico Sound. The property manager is very responsive.

This spot is nice, clean, has everything you need, butts up against the sound, is in a great location, etc. You and your kids will totally dig it.

Nice simple cottage, old Ocracoke style. We stayed here during the cloudy, rainy week of Tropical Storm Debby but North Pond was protected from the wind, so we could enjoy it during the rain breaks- swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The place was clean and had most of the things we needed to cook. The property manager was very responsive and kind when we had a small issue. The main thing we missed was having a screened porch, which seems essential for Ocracoke, or at least a covered porch would have been nice with all of the rain. Overall, a great cottage and location.

This location can’t be beat! We loved being right on the sound! Swimming, kayaking all available right out the back door. This house was clean and perfect for our family of 4. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Staying at this house was absolutely amazing. The water access in the backyard was a game changer for our Ocracoke trip and we will definitely be visiting again!
