The house was immaculately clean, in a very quiet neighborhood but close to the center of town and just right for our bicycling base. The living room was very comfortable and just perfect for relaxing. There was even gas in the outdoor grille! No complaints here.
The house is in a quiet area, convenient to everything , we rode our e-bikes from the house to every point on the Island. The house is larger than appeared, beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and beds. The kitchen was lovely. I got locked out and within minutes if call guest services I was back in. We had our pet so the fenced in backyard was great.
The stay was very comfortable, the house was clean, they have all the dishes and things to cook. It's a nice place to enjoy. I recommend it, the clean sheets had extra bed covers, extra mattresses, all super comfortable!
Great family vacation. Dauphin island is a fantastic family destination and the accommodations were ideal.
This was on my wife bucket list she wanted to see the ocean one last time. She enjoyed herself very much the house was beautiful inside but internet wasn't very good need to replace. The door you put code is was very difficult to get to take code had to hold in at top of dead bolt.
We booked this short notice with our 4 adult kids, a girlfriend and 2 dogs. This house was great! Beautifully decorated and the kitchen has everything you need. Fenced in yard perfect for dogs. The phone service was sketchy. The gas tank for the gas grill was empty but we just ran to the store and exchanged it. We enjoyed our stay very much!
Clean house, perfect for family vacation. Peaceful and quiet, close to bird sanctuary, Sea Lab, Fort Gaines, and 3 public beaches. Beautiful and relaxed island experience.
There were so many things we were unhappy about. We called several times to the 800 number only to find out that the office at Dauphin Island was not even notified of our issues (mind you every time you call it takes about 15 minutes before you get a live person). I finally drove up to the vacasa office on the island to get help. They were not all that helpful plus they didn't seem to worried that they were not even notified of our issues. They had sent someone out two times during our stay to check the internet/television connection. The young man just kept telling us that they always have problems with that at the location we were staying at. He said if we want to watch tv we could go in the spare bedroom and watch it because that one always works better. Apparently, they always have problems with the television in the main area. Most of the time it did not work. After they came out for the third time the television still did not work all the time, but by then we just gave up. We have never stayed anywhere that did not supply you with basic needs for everyday living. There were no zip lock bags, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, salt & pepper, no storage containers, we only had one trash bag that was in there when we got there, tiny bottle of dish soap, 2 dishwasher tablets, no coffee filters, etc. We stayed for 3 weeks and paid the full price for the complete time, but they said we only get the starter kit for our visit, they claim. The stove went out one day while I was cooking so we had to go out to eat. Again, we called the 800 number but of course they didn't contact the local office. Good thing I drove up there to tell them otherwise I'm not sure when we would have gotten it fixed. Very very poor communication between the headquarters and the local office. Mind you they tell you to call the 800 number if you have any issues. Good luck with that. The sheets on all the beds were very cheap, thin and the fitted sheet came off every night while we were sleeping. I wish I would have brought mine own. In the spare room they had full size sheets on a queen bed so those didn't work at all. The house needed a deep cleaning plus there was peeling paint in some of the rooms. We tried to leave a couple days early because we were so unhappy with everything, but they would not refund even part of our money. We did end up leaving a day early, we were just ready to be done with the property. So poorly managed.
The living space, outdoor gathering area, kitchen, and showers!
We loved the house. It was in a quiet neighborhood and close to the East End beach. With only 5 steps this was great for carrying stuff inside. We liked that Vacasa had people on the island when we had a couple of problems. The Vacasa ladies were very nice and fixed the problems in a timely manner. We had only 2 problems with the house, One: we are a family of coffee drinkers and the house had a cup at a time coffee maker. This problem was fixed by a trip to Dollar General. The second problem was the POOR internet access and the POOR tv service. The house was listed having cable but when we arrived we found it was just Netfix and only the free channels on the Roku. One of the bedrooms had a smart tv and normal cable channels. Putting a smart tv in the living room would fix this problem. With these things fixed, I would rent the house again next year.
We were there for a short fishing trip for my husband and son. The house was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. While the guys were fishing my daughter's and I went to the beach. It was a very short drive with lots of great little shops on the island. We had a wonderful time! 100% recommend this property.
This house is amazing! It's very well-stocked with all the necessities, the yard was great for our dog, close drive to the beach, located in a quiet neighborhood, and very clean. I couldn't rate it a 5 just because of a few issues we encountered. The living room TV had such poor WiFi signal that we could not watch anything. The hot water ran out very quickly (and we are only a family of 3). The smoke alarm needed new batteries, the shower drain was very slow, and the Keurig needed a descaling cycle. The house is updated and beautiful - just a few maintenance details needed attention. The air conditioner was broken when we arrived, but one call/text, and it was handled very quickly. We would definitely like to stay here again.
We loved the updated furniture, decor, kitchen and bathrooms! This home had everything we needed.
Had a wonderful week at Off Course! Left our home in a snow storm and had lovely, sunny weather all week. Nice, quiet neighborhood with easy access to everything we wanted to do less then 5 minutes away by car. Kitchen was great but we could have used a blender and a large mixing bowl for meal prep.
