Sunsets on the Grand

The property was exactly as described. We needed a place to stay to attend a graduation at Michigan State University which was only 12 minutes away via highway. The place was either recently upgraded/remodeled or just really well maintained. It was spotless and nicely decorated in a very modern way. Excellent communication - very caring and thoughtful hosts. Highly recommend to all. We would definitely stay again when in the area. Thanks for a wonderfully seamless experience, Eric & Jen!

This property is exactly as expected from photos, if not better. It was impeccably clean and nice, the bed was comfortable, shower was hot, and much more space than a hotel plus a full kitchen and living room. I also love the tiny details like an accessible and labeled HDMI port if you want to hook up to the TV, and the little toiletries like qtips and cotton balls/pads, and even a snow scraper/brush by the door since rental cars never have those (thank you!!) The only downside is proximity to a main road and some traffic noise, but it dies down at night and that's also part of the easy access benefit. Hopefully on my next trip the weather will be more conducive to a bike ride!

This house was really clean and well stocked and nicely decorated. It was a relaxing place to stay and had everything we needed to spend a nice weekend. The hosts gave great instructions for check in and I appreciated that they checked with me to make sure we were comfortable and everything was as expected. I would absolutely choose to stay again because the location was easy to find and the house was lovely.

The kitchen had everything needed to cook and serve with. Just bring the food. The entire place was spotlessly clean, comfortable and inviting. Would definitely recommend this unit to anyone. The host responds quickly as well.

The house was just what we were looking for! The property was expertly maintained. We had some snow while we were there and every morning someone came and shoveled and put salt down, which was great because we had my mother with us who is a senior citizen and had trouble walking. The house is very well decorated and all the amenities were great! Eric was amazing to deal with. Anytime I had a question, I sent him a message on the app and he replied quickly and helped when we needed it. Absolutely Amazing experience from start to finish, I would stay here again in a heart beat! Thank you to all involved with this property for everything, you made our stay in Lansing a great experience!

The host had been absolutely amazing!!! Very prompt at answering questions and make sure you feel welcome and have everything you need. The house is very clean and very nicly decorated and has the amenities you need! I would absolutely stay here again without question!!

We really enjoyed how accessible the kitchen was. We cooked A LOT and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The K cup drawer was our favorite :). The host was easily accessible if needed but we had no issues. The house was beautiful and filled our trip with so many beautiful memories:)

Enjoyed our stay. Very clean and modern accommodations. Only stayed for two nights but could see how not having a washer/dryer could be a disadvantage if we would have stayed longer. Also need some ice cube trays!!! Like other comments, with the property being located on a busy road, the traffic noise took some time to get used to. No fault of the hosts and was more muted in master bedroom. Great hosts and very communicative.

Sunset on the Grand is always accommodating to our family. The kitchen is fully stocked and the house is super clean!

The overall experience was excellent. Everything was spotless. Enjoyed walking along the waterfront, which was right outside the house. Beds were comfortable.

I would suggest that the owner install hold bars iin both bathrooms for safety. It coil save a law suit.

This was a wonderful, well-equipped property. We loved being able to walk over to the river walk to see the rowing teams practicing. The guidebook that the property owner put together was very helpful in identifying places to eat and visit. I highly recommend a visit to old town. We were fortunate enough to catch the blues festival while we were there. We will definitely visit Lansing again!

We absolutely loved our stay! Eric was incredibly kind and accommodating. The house was immaculate, the bed was super comfy, and the water pressure in the shower was incredible. I’d stay again just for the shower Highly recommend and we’ll be back!

We were in town for a wedding. The house was very conveniently located next to the river, along with easy access to downtown. Very clean and cozy.

Cute, modern, well kept home. Very easy to get to MSU and on/off the interstate. There is a cute walking path along the River for a nice walk, I saw many fishing too.Eric was very attentive. He thought of everything including a welcome bottle of wine and had a guide for local suggestions. My son and I ate at two of the restaurants and they were great. I highly recommend The People’s Kitchen.

Im always delighted when I walk into a property that is well maintained, tastefully decorated and smells fresh and clean. My adult grand daughter kept raving about how nice the place was.My family and friends enjoyrd themselves totally.Not only was inside emaculate. The back yard and landscape is beautiful done. We will use this property again.

What a fun place to meet up with old friends! Eric greeted me to open the door when I arrived a bit early. The house is adorable and very clean. We unpacked and visited before heading out for a delicious dinner and concert downtown. My friends and I had ample space and slept well. In the morning, we walked to Frances Park, enjoyed the spring birdsong and rushing waters of the Grand.

Great location to MSU, which is where we needed to go the place is super cute extra nice touches even coffee, which I was totally ill, prepared myself and so thrilled they thought of that to save me in the morning. Comfortable beds and just a great place easy communication with the owners.

We were in town for a girls weekend/bowling tournament and the location was perfect. The property was well maintained and had everything we needed, then some. Eric and Jen were great hosts. Definitely recommend staying with them.

Nice with a few places for improvement

The property was exceptionally clean. This property would be an excellent choice for travelers planning to go to a MSU athletic event or a group that will spend most of their time away from the property. For my husband and me, a couple in their 60’s that tend to spend most of their time relaxing at a property, the less than cozy furniture and extreme traffic noise just outside the front door was not as peaceful as we would have preferred.However, for a more active group, I think this property would be ideal!!

Property was great! Super clean and exactly what we were looking for. Hosts were very responsive and as a family of 6 we fit perfect and felt safe. Thank you! My only suggestion would be to maybe put a TV in one of the two bedrooms. It would have been nice to watch a movie with my husband while the kids were watching cartoons at night.

We were in Lansing to visit family. The place was perfectly located near family. The place was clean, location was excellent and Eric was available upon checking and during our stay.

An excellent stay! We have stayed in many short term rentals, and this one is very nice and managed very well.It's a newer home. It's really nice that everything is new. It was very clean too. Spotless.The bottle of wine we found upon arrival is a nice touch.Communication was excellent. I always got a response immediately. He was patient when I asked a knuckleheaded question :-)The shower was amazing. It was probably the best shower I've had any any short term rental. Excellent quality sheets and towels too.The only slight negative I could come up with is the traffic noise during the day. This house is right on a busy road an we heard cars all day long. It was a minor annoyance for us. Traffic was non-existent at night so no one was kept awake when trying to sleep.Overall, may be one of the best STR's we've stayed it in a long while!

I came to visit my new grandson. It was very close my son’s home. I felt safe and at home.

Condo was well stocked and clean. It is close to MSU campus. There is a great walking/biking path across the street. Eric was great with check in and very friendly.
