Ann and Mike's place is great, they supply everything! We loved the neighborhood as well, we met a lot of people while walking our dog and running. It's less than 10 minutes to Jockey's Ridge, we went for multiple hikes and kite flying. It's about 3/4 of a mile over to the ocean side where we ran on a beach that we felt like we owned! We visited the Wright Memorial, we spent the majority of a morning there. We also went to Roanoke Island visitor center, lots of History about the area there. On Roanoke Island is Manteo and Wanchese where we got a lot of fresh seafood at O'Neill's fish market , highly recommended. We played pickleball at nearby Dowdy park many times and went to the Winter market there as well. We did a art gallery store tour, probably about 10 different art type stores in the area. We also drove North and spent some time in Duck. We enjoyed the Outer Banks Brewing Station in Kill Devil Hills. We drove south a bit and visited Pea Island the stopped at the Oregon Inlet Lifesaving Station with amazing views of the water and also stopped at Bodie Island lighthouse. Incredible stay!

We had a great week at this house. The sunset and water views are beautiful, and it was an easy bike ride to the beach. The property and home itself were perfect- the house is exceptionally clean and comfortable and the fenced in back yard was great for our dogs. The owners really do go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and were very responsive. We felt right at home during our stay!

Ann and Mike have created a beautiful, well appointed and highly organized home. The view of the sound side of OBX, Nags Head, was perfect and the sunsets were stunning. For those that may not be familiar with OBX, there is a 55 MPH 5 lane highway that separates the sound from the beach side. To safely spend time at the beach, you will need to drive a short way to public access parking. Not a big deal, but for a family with young kids, this could be a factor. There is a small beach, just a short walk away, in Jockey’s Ridge State Park, but it’s tiny, and not quite like the ocean side. Definitely go on a 4x4 horse tour of Corolla beach, (53 minutes north), climb the Cirrituck Lighthouse and check out the guided tour of Manteo. We also spent time at the Wright Brothers National Memorial, which was really impressive. Ann and Mike's recommendations for local food, pizza and ice cream were right on point, all delicious. So much to see and do on OBX, we will definitely be back!
