Picture this: 18 of your favorite people gathered at golden hour, watching the Kiawah
marsh turn copper-pink from your private saltwater pool. The edge of the water
disappears seamlessly into the horizon. The sounds of the game room drifting through
the open doors. A stunning chef’s kitchen filling the house with something spectacular.

And a quiet cul-de-sac that feels like your own private corner of the island.
Welcome to 68 Persimmon Court — Kiawah Island’s premier large-group estate.
THE HOME
With over 6,000 square feet of living space spread across three floors, 8 private
bedrooms, and 8 full bathrooms, this is one of the largest private vacation homes
available on Kiawah Island. An elevator serves all three levels, making it easy for guests
of every age and ability. The open-plan living areas flow from a sunken lounge with a
double-sided fireplace to a light-filled sunroom, game room, and a second living area with
wet bar — giving every group member their own space to decompress or gather.
THE KITCHEN
The fully renovated chef’s kitchen is one of the finest on the island. Featuring custom
white cabinetry, quartzite countertops, a professional GE Monogram appliance suite
(including double ovens, a griddle top, and dual dishwashers), and an 11-foot island that
seats six comfortably, this is a kitchen designed for serious cooking and serious
gathering. Whether it’s a quiet breakfast overlooking the marsh or a catered group dinner,
the space delivers.
THE POOL and OUTDOOR LIVING
Step outside to your private saltwater pool (22 ft x 11 ft) perched at the edge of the
Kiawah marsh. The pool’s edge is precision-beveled downward so that the waterline all
but vanishes into the horizon — creating the seamless visual effect of water merging with
the marsh beyond. The sunsets from this vantage point are nothing short of
extraordinary. Dine al fresco, grill out, or simply let the day dissolve as the tide shifts
below. Please note: the pool is saltwater and unheated.
ENTERTAINMENT and RECREATION
Inside, the game room is a crowd-pleaser for every generation — featuring Golden Tee
and a full pool table. A 75-inch TV anchors the main living room. Outside, the island
delivers world-class recreation at every turn: five championship golf courses including
The Ocean Course (host of the 2021 PGA Championship and 2031 Ryder Cup), the #1-
ranked Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center, 10 miles of pristine Atlantic beach, scenic
bike trails, kayaking, paddleboarding, and dolphin-watching cruises. The Marsh
Observation Tower is a short walk away, and Freshfields Village’s boutique shops and
restaurants are just minutes by car.
LOCATION
Set at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Vanderhorst Plantation, this home offers rare
privacy without sacrificing access. The beach is a scenic 1.5-mile bike ride away —
rentals are available just minutes from the property through Island Bike and Surf — and
the island’s golf, tennis, and dining are all within easy reach. Historic Charleston is just 25
miles away — a perfect day trip for culture, cuisine, and sightseeing.

Space if fabulous - lots of room to spread out, have personal space, play games, eat together, sleep, bathrooms. It was good for a week but for the amount of money, the house needs a lot of upgrades. Some bathroom tubs and sinks were not working and/or were missing faucets. Some exterior doors were rotted and wouldn't close all the way or left openings for critters to come in. The roof leaked during a rainstorm 2 nights directly on to the bed where two guests were sleeping. Kitchen was renovated and is much better appointed than previous reviews; however, counter stools were unsafe, stovetop gas was extremely high and a little scary to use. Pool table and ping pong table were usable but rackets and sticks were old, broken, or poor quality. Summary: good location for multiple families staying together who need a lot of space for a week but property needs a lot of TLC for the spend.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is lovely, spacious and fit our needs but the kitchen needs updating. For the price, Someone needs to go in and clean out the kitchen and do an inventory of usable glasses and utensils, making sure there are the correct things available and enough flatware for the amount of people who can be in the home.

This home is very open and has great space for a large family gathering or multiple families vacationing together. It has multiple living areas, plenty of bathrooms and a wonderful pool. While the appliances and some of the home are dated, everything worked well and was perfect for our large family gathering. It is a good value for the space it offers. The host was responsive and helpful. We would stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we were pleased with the house. Enjoyed the pool and the game room was the Golden Tee was a big hit with the young adults. The bathrooms and kitchen are somewhat dated but functional. Only big complaint is a shocking lack of forks for a house this size -- only 10! The oven has also seen better days.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the first time we have booked outside of the resort. We have been coming to Kiawah for 20+ years. The rental company was wonderful to work with however, the house needed a lot of work. There was cobwebs on the lamps, mold on the vents, And the kitchen needs major updates. The two queen bunks are in an area that you have to walk through to get to the other bedrooms so there is no privacy upstairs. One of the other king rooms doesn’t have an attached bathroom, it is in the hallway. I feel like the owners need to spend some money to make this property nicer before renting it out. Do you have what’s listed as a 7 to 8 bedroom house and there’s only eight forks in the kitchen. The The oven is from the 1980s and the refrigerator is quite small for as many people as we had. There was a second refrigerator on the other side of the house, which was not super convenient. The pool area is tiny and not inviting at all. The kitchen has chipped paint all over the cabinets, and the floors are disgusting. Again, the rental company was very easy to deal with in responded quickly to anything we asked. I just don’t think this house should be rented until the owners put some money back into it. They seem very careless. I took pictures, but there’s not a place to attach them for this review

When we arrived, the front door wouldn’t shut. There was drywall dust all over the first floor from a ceiling repair and no one cleaned afterward. Toilet ran & made loud noises, was never fixed. Electrical plugs don’t work, oven overheats badly! One stove top appears dangerous as a huge flame shot up when turned on! Front door never locked til day before we left! Some rooms have no air conditioning and can’t be used. If you call for repairs to be made, they said we have to stay there and wait, which takes hrs. You can waste your vacation time waiting for repairmen to come, and it needs so many repairs! Only one working refrigerator, used the 2nd one and all the food spoiled!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an extended family vacation with 17 people and the house comfortably accommodated our group. We had plenty of beds and well-furnished living areas. The house definitely needs updates and the kitchen is past due for a remodel; cabinet paint worn/ missing as an example. A bit disappointed in the kitchen utensils as there weren’t enough forks for our entire group (glad we had some plastic ones). The bedrooms were spacious and while the deck areas were small the pool was a nice relief to the heat. Our family especially enjoyed eating meals at the round table in the breakfast nook. We know that houses this size cost much more and we appreciated the lower rate. Despite some of the appliances and showers needing updating they all worked very well. It was especially nice having two microwaves and ice makers.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wedding vacation was great except for the accommodations. The condition of the house does not reflect the actual. The front door is HARD to lock from the inside, towel bar not attached to was in bathroom, kitchen island had greasy film, what appears to be mold around air grille in upstairs bedroom, many light switches but few marked, deteriorated wood on exterior door jambs, no instructions for main tv set with 5 controllers and problem with getting correct incoming signal, several windows could not be operated by handles, and one was broken, bathroom tub water control handle broken, paint chips, especially where painted grey, were numerous throughout the house and the welcome book of instructions was found inside living room table instead of on the entry table. If it wasn't for the size and location, would consider the house a satisfaction level 1
