Sunset Captiva 26 - Welcome to your Captiva Island escape

Better than advertised. The host has recently renovated the property and the photos on Expedia/VRBO did not include the renovations. The host was very responsive to a concern I had regarding beach chairs and he provided new ones on the same day. The property is located very close to the beach (2 minute walk) and the marina (2 minute walk). The property included bikes, kayak, and a paddle board. It was off-season so some of the restaurants on the island were not open and some are under construction due to the hurricane from 9/22. But plenty of activities to do in the area.

Clean, well maintained home with every amenity you can possibly desire. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This is our second time staying in this wonderful home! We took full use of all of the amenities! Using the bikes to get to and from the beach boardwalk was so enjoyable. Take advantage of walking over to the bay! There were manatees everywhere! Thanks Omar for sharing your home. We will be back! Hoping that Mucky Duck and Keylime Bistro will be back open soon! Captiva is our happy place.

Great location and community. Short walk to pool, beach, shops and restaurants. Very relaxing in this newly renovated property. Highly recommend.

What a great house to stay at while in Captiva, big thanks to Omar for being such a great host. My wife and I took our daughter and some friends and they had a blast. We loved the surrounding community, walk to everything. The pool, tennis, pickle ball courts are all in great condition. Access to the beach was very close and convenient. At the house we loved having the amenities such as bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas. The house was great too - modern, clean and great beds. We'll be back!

The house and location couldn’t be better!It’s the perfect spot in Captiva, easy walk to the beach, or just use the pool or pickleball courts right there our small village - such friendly people. The house is very clean and super comfortable - we loved hanging out on the porch or using the pool table downstairs. We also just walked just a few minutes to the restaurants or over to the marina for a dolphin cruise!Omar is a great host - he really made sure we had everything we needed for a great trip!

There were a number of disapointments. No paper towels, napkins or tissues as advertized. The cookware was rusted. The king bed upstairs had a broken slat in the middle of the bed. The downstairs shower only had tepid water and when 60 degrees outside, it was cold. There were no lightbulbs downstairs and no replacements to be found. we found no bike tire pump for the bikes but rode anyway. The outdoor equiptment was good but heavy. luckily family was near.

We come to Captiva annually, and this was the second time that we have stayed at Omar's place. It's so beautifully decorated, completely renovated, and everything is so well-appointed. Hurricane Helene had just hit Florida a few weeks prior to our arrival, so we figured we would be safe for this trip. Unfortunately, the day that we arrived, another Tropical Depression developed in the Gulf. It rapidly developed into a Cat 5 Hurricane Milton. We were evacuated by Lee County on Day 3 of our trip. We, unfortunately, had quite a time getting our money back through VRBO, but Omar went to bat for us and got us as much of a refund as he possibly could. Mental note, get cancellation insurance! But, overall, this place is a dream to stay in, and the host went out of his way to make sure that we were made whole.

We stayed about a month ago, and had a fantastic time. Very short walk to the beach and pool. The house was actually a little nicer than some pictures. I think a lot of things got redone after the hurricane a couple years ago. Beds were all comfortable too.

The house has updated bathrooms, comfortable king beds, and tons of beach supplies (chairs, umbrellas, bikes, life jackets, kayaks, paddle boards). Owner reached out to be sure all was good. Best place we’ve stayed in Sunset Captiva!
