The kids loved how cozy the environment was. We all enjoyed the stay.
We travel to Killington annually for a family ski vacation. We always stay in the Sunrise area and love the easy access to Sundog trail and lift and the access to the sports complex. This property is not a ski in nor a ski out property and should not be described and priced as one. We drove and parked to access Sundog. If you are coming with a group, the kitchen is tiny and you literally cannot open the dishwasher or refrigerator and enter the kitchen. Several dining chairs and the sitting bench had wobbly legs. The sofa bed in the office needs to be replaced, it is terrible. The main floor bedroom is tiny and the closet was crammed with stuff and not usable, as was several other closets. Same with dressers in bedrooms, drawers had junk in them as well. The sports center pool and hot tub was only open until 4:30 this year due to Covid? Making using the sports center impossible if you were skiing until the slopes closed. 0n a positive note, the kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of seating in the fairly small living room and a nice fireplace. Getaway vacation was very responsive and sent maintenance promptly to fix a few issues. And there is a sauna in the basement, which I didn’t recall being listed as an amenity.
First time at Killington, and OMG! An exhilarating and epic experience for me and my immediate family of 10! Just great vibes; the place was amazing, fit everyone, and did not want to leave. The owners were very accommodating and attentive to all of our needs. Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience.
not a real ski in/out. leaky windows. overall still nice. very responsive maint staff with snow issues.
Place was great. Kitchen was well outfitted. Beds were comfy. To say this is ski in and ski out is a fallacy. It is a good walk to get to the lift. There could have been better directions to get to the actual Sunrise lift as well. The TV didn't work that well either and the WiFi is spotty. Fire was awesome - lots of firewood available too.
Great location and Cozy and comfortable digs. Would rent again.
This property was the perfect place for my friends and I. The house was cozy and the beds were comfy. The wood burning fireplace was a highlight, as was the access to their outdoor hottub, sauna, and pool. I cannot say whether the ski in ski out was convenient because we ended up driving to the base so that people could get their equipment. The only concern we had was that the downstairs bedroom with twin beds often smelled like gas, coming from the utility closet in there. We assumed this was the hot water heater or something.
This property was the perfect place for my friends and I. It was easy to get into the house with the digital code, and we didn't need to much to check out except take out the trash and close the door behind us. The house was cozy and the beds were comfy. Hopefully they can look into this. Still despite this, we really enjoyed our stay!
