What a great place! Had a great time Thank you
Family met for a long weekend from a few different places. Accommodations were outstanding. Hosts were onsight to greet us and give us a tour. Large yard to sit, eat play in with a fire pit and a supply of wood. Many items stored in pantry and well labeled. Plenty of dishes, cups, glasses etc. We brought our basic food to cook. So much more to enjoy. Playground next door: basketball, tennis and pickleball courts. Supplies for all are at the house. Close to the ferry to Put in Bay. I highly recommend Sunnyside Tower for your group. The host and hostess were delightful and love sharing their place. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. I’m sure we will be back.
Host and hostess were amazing. Every detail was thought of. Super comfy beds. Can’t say enough good things about this property and our experience.
We loved our stay at Sunnyside -- Juju is the best hostess ever! The kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials and the appetizer refrigerator and snack island were such a surprise. Besides morning coffee, Juju made coffee all day long for us. She was also very helpful with restaurant and seafood store recommendations. And, when I forgot my birthday decorations for my husband's big birthday, she pulled out decorations (more festive than mine) and set both tables with candles and nice china! It was above and beyond and beautiful! There is so much to do -- our group used all the bikes, played basketball, played pickleball, did puzzles, played chess, and watched several football games on the big screen TV. There is also a lot to do in the surrounding area. We spent a day at Cedar Point. I highly recommend Sunnyside!
The property was very nice, especially considering the historic age of the house. The outdoor space was great for eating out and evening bonfires. Julie is very detailed and made sure the experience was great.
Sunnyside Tower was absolutely amazing! Our hosts not only provided a perfect physical environment which was clean and provided all the needed components for cooking, games, etc., but they went above and beyond in hospitality, organization and service. I am raving about the experience to all my friends and family.
There was plenty of room and space for everyone to relax. Also area for us to gather as a group for meals and games. It was just what my in-laws and family needed after a hectic wedding. The whole house was well stocked with snacks, drinks and plenty of towels. Well worth the price and I'd be happy to visit again!
This house was amazing. Juju and Pete, the owners, provide so many extras that it would be impossible to mention them all! It is everything advertised and more. We had 20 adults and had plenty of room as well as beautiful outdoor space and plenty of activities to keep us busy. Definitely going back next year!! Can’t say enough about JuJu and Pete. So helpful and super friendly.
JuJu and Bozo are the best of hosts! They went way above and beyond - even picking up my suit form the seamstress they found for me for the wedding! Best and most friendly service ever! I only wish we could stay here once a month!! Bikes to ride and a bonfire every night! We love this place!
We had our first post-COVID family reunion at Sunnyside Tower. “JuJu” and “Bozo” were generous, enthusiastic hosts. We had sent a list of names of who would be staying in each room, and by the time we arrived they had put signs on each room and knew our names and something about us. Knowing we like board games, they used Scrabble letters to leave us a personalized crossword welcome message. They demonstrated that “the place was ours” by helping us move furniture in the living room to suit our needs. The kitchen and pantry were well-stocked with spices, baking supplies, coffee, syrup, etc., and they made coffee and put out treats every day. Having three refrigerators was very helpful. To help us plan what to bring, they sent us a detailed list of appliances in the kitchen, folding tables available, and so forth. We appreciate that they support recycling and composting. The wonderful old 1879 house is large and comfortable, and includes a lot of local history as explained by JuJu and documented on the walls. It includes a few rooms we never saw where (as required by Michigan law) JuJu and Bozo live. They are there most of the time, and a knock on their door brought them to help whenever we needed something. They appeared at appropriate times to make more coffee, wash and put away dishes, and tidy up. We enjoyed our four days and three nights at Sunnyside Tower.
