We so appreciated the friendly, informative farm tour, as well as the option to purchase a farm breakfast, which was hearty and delicious. The animals were friendly. Truly a memorable experience.

This was such an amazing stay, I highly recommend it. Check in was very easy and straight forward. The bathroom was right next to the shed and was very clean inside. We had a bit of a problem with the power, but they fixed it within 5 minutes of me texting them. We had a tour of the farm which was the highlight of my Maine trip. Wish we stayed longer, thank you so much for an amazing/unique stay!!

If you like tent camping but don't want to set up a tent, this is the stay for you. When you thoroughly read the description and look at the pictures, you'll know what you're signing up for (sun heated outdoor shower, sun shed, composting toilet). It's not for everyone, but it's a different way to experience some of Maine, plus goats! I booked this as part of a trip to Acadia, a little far out of the way, but I wanted that camping feel and couldn't bring my gear. Host was responsive, accommodations matched descriptions, and the experience matched expectations.

While the pictures of the living space were beautiful, when we got there we found out instantly why the property only has pictures of the bedroom and the building itself. If you can plan good weather for your stay then your experience might be better (but who can predict the weather) .  It was the middle of August when we booked this place for two nights thinking it would be dry and pleasant,  unfortunately, it was a rainy two days. We arrived in the place early evening driving from Canada so we just wanted to settle down for the night after a long drive. It was raining hard when we got there. We thought we would be able to have a hot shower and just sleep. However, since it was raining all day, there was no sun therefore, there was no hot water (talk about sun warmed hot water). Also, the bathroom was right out with no overhead cover so you would be under the rain showering, (I guess you're already wet so what's a few drops of cold rain). The other concern was, there were no towels at all! The bathroom had privacy doors like those in the old Western Saloons (swinging doors). Not a big deal, but some travellers might not like that. The compost toilet is made up of a Home Depot 5 gallon bucket with a toilet lid on top and filled with sawdust. Oh well. We did our best to freshen up and went to sleep in the squeaky bed. And the owner might deny this, but there were wet spots on one of the corners of the bed by where the glass ceiling ends by the foot of the bed. Ask for pictures
