Summit View Chalet Duplex: Cozy, Close To Town/Slopes

Great location, met all of our needs and management company was excellent!

This cabin is older, and it shows, but it was the perfect size for our group and had everything we needed. It is located close enough to everything there is to do, but in a very quiet location. We went for walks through the neighborhood after dinner and enjoyed the back deck in the mornings with coffee. The loft area is great for a group of kids, and the water pressure was divine! My only complaint is that the rental company required a third-party processing of payment. I use VRBO for the peace of mind, convenience, and cash back I receive. The communication about this was not in the listing and wasn't clear in their messages. They did check in on us, though, to see if we needed anything.

Dryer didn’t work lots of small damage around the house I was worried for being charged for. Sheets and bedding did not appear clean

Unbelievable, gorgeous views of several of the peaks in the 10 mile range from the deck. Gas grill works great. Nice gas fireplace. We had a great time. This unit needs some serious updates though. The bedroom/bathroom in the basement were disappointing with stains on the ceiling tiles, an outdated old bathroom, a ton of wires around the tv… had clean sheets but they had old blood drops on them and found some hairs in the bed…Kitchen could use some modernizing of cabinets and equipment. Also, the steps going upstairs and downstairs can be dangerous so be careful. Great location that you can walk to downtown from. Check in and checkout were great.

Dug our way out of 2’ of snow using pots and pans because the owners didn’t provide a single shovel. Neighbors were rude and condescending. Saw children shoveling with buckets, didn’t offer a shovel, just yelled we had to move our car. It wasn’t our car, it was the cleaners car. Comforters smelled, lacked soap. Motel vibes.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental property served our party and it is pet friendly. The location was close to Breck and for those wanting to take the bus, the bus stops were very walkable. Internet was okay. The kitchen was okay stocked. Although a few thoughts: The stairs are non uniform so we had folks slip and fall. So make sure the less able people in your party do not take the loft or basement. The basement/lower level has a combined laundry bathroom and doesn't lock inside so the privacy isn't quite there. The entrance doesn't have much other than hooks, so we had to buy boot trays to keep the floors clean from our shoes. The age of the home is obvious and there is creaking and maybe some larger issues with plumbing as the basement ceiling had what could be deduced as water damage and constant dripping like sound from the basement.

I great space to hang out with friends. The management company was very communicative about checking in any problems we had. It's too far to walk to town but the bus stop is about 10 mins

We were in town to meet up with family and visit our daughter who lives in Breckenridge. There’s lots of far spiffier places in this town but we’re practical folks who prioritize bang for the buck over granite counter tops. Our side of the duplex was nice and cozy, in a very good location and met all our needs for family gatherings including a dog. The property management company was top notch every step of the way and we would definitely stay here again.

First, the outside is ran down and not maintained at all. Neighbors are very trashy- and pretty sure one was selling out of their home (based on the constant come and go traffic). Inside was rustic at best. Main shower had large amounts of red hair on the wall- not even sure how it got there, but regardless it wasn’t clean. We felt less clean after showering. It seemed like the cleaning ppl just swapped sheets and threw up some towels- no cleaning, dusting etc

Our family came in from Ohio and Seattle for our daughter’s wedding. Her wedding flowers were coming to the VRBO so we could assemble them together. At the last minute we discovered the flowers were arriving early so we were allowed to enter the rental a bit early to save her wedding flowers from wilting. Management was super responsive with all questions and very kind!

Property was perfect for us with beautiful view of mountains.

Fantastic views in a neighborhood. 10 minute walk to town, or convenient to bus stops. Kitchen was fully equipped. Lots of sleeping room, and areas that worked for working remotely.

We knew that the cabin did not have air condition but thought the weather being in the 50's at night would make it okay. the cabin did not cool off until early morning. The home is older and has some quirks about it. I would not recommend this for younger children, the stairs are very steep and my kids were scared of the downstairs. They have never been in a basement before. I may have been as well. The property was very clean. it is a duplex, which I did not realize when booking. not a big deal but we could hear what I assume was remodeling going on next door with hammering and power tools. The house could use some updating in beds and tvs. This is a great cabin for bigger groups of adults and older children.

Plenty of room for our group 9, room to be together and apart. Nice deck and view.
