Summer Camp Tiny Cottage - Perfect for a couples/friends retreat & small fams!

I love Cape Charles and this adorable little house! My mother and I celebrated my birthday at Summer Camp in May 2023. The house is so charming, bursting with natural light, and well equipped. The screened-in porch and large backyard are major perks. My baby-boomer mom stayed in the large, newly renovation first-floor bedroom. I enjoyed the novelty of loft, climbing up the ladders, and ducking below the low ceiling, but not everyone might. The bathroom is small but proportional to the house. Bring a shower cap if you like to shower without getting your hair wet each time. This compact kitchen has all the essentials, though we only made simple breakfasts at home and ate out a lot. Renting a golf cart is a must in Cape Charles, and we could easily park and charge our cart in front of the house. The owners were very responsive before and during our stay. I would definitely return to Summer Camp for my next birthday!

This is a great place for 2 people doing a long weekend on the shore. Hosts are excellent and the place is well stocked. The air conditioning/heat work great. Water heater is quick and efficient

Great location with everything we needed!

The cottage was perfect for us. It has all the amenities as described. It compares to a large suite in a hotel. As can be expected things are tight. We didn't use the upstairs, but it is cramped. Looks like it would be great for children. The rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Cape Charles. Cons: The bathroom sink has a glass shelf above it that is in the way; The tiny ironing board was broken; the keypad on the front door is dark at first when you are entering the code; and the shower is very cramped.

This cottage is super cute and conveniently located walking distance from everything downtown. It’s perfect for a family with one or two small children. Our 20 month old slept up in the loft easily with his pack and play and loved the large backyard space. We also enjoyed the fire pit at night. Host was very communicative and accommodating. Will be back!

My mom and I came to Cape Charles for a little girls trip and it was our first time visiting there! Summer Camp was an absolutely perfect fit for us! It had everything you could need for a great beach stay and it was also adorable. The proximity to the beach and town was perfect for walking and easy to drive if you needed to. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Cape Charles!

It was a perfect little place to stay for our anniversary for a long weekend. We left so relaxed. The beach was beautiful, enjoyed music at the brewery, miniature golf, nice restaurants, and the distillery. We will be back!

Summer Camp is the cutest little cottage. My mom and I love it so much that this was our second time staying at Summer Camp!It has everything we needed from the microwave to the screened front porch. The shower is small but fits the house. Anyone sleeping up in the loft needs some agility to manage the stairs and the slanted roof. The owners are great and are super responsive via the vrbo app.We're planning to return next year!

We had an excellent stay at Summer Camp in Cape Charles. The property was perfect for our small group, we loved the quirkiness of the tiny house, but it was well equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable.

We made a trip out of a half marathon in Virginia Beach and decided to spend a few days in this quaint little town. This tiny cottage was so perfect. It had everything we needed super comfortable, clean and convenient to all things! I would highly recommend anybody who’s looking for a little weekend away. Where do I begin? The hosts were most definitely super! From the booking process to check out everything was phenomenal. I have tried the other company multiple times only to be let down by every host. This couple was accommodating, helpful & kind. The picture & descriptions does not do this property justice. I will be back!!

I love this property! It is clean and comfortable and Cape Charles is such a quaint little town. This little home is just perfect in a quiet neighborhood with walkability into town, the beach, restaurants and shops. The property has everything one would need for the stay. Love it. Second time I’ve rented it and I’ll be back!

Exactly as described. It’s definitely a tiny house but its perfect for a person, couple or small family.

This little cottage was a perfect spot for my fiance and I. The property is exactly as listed and very cozy and quaint. The back master bedroom is a perfect size and has a long bed which we really liked. The shower was a bit small, but everything else was perfect. Would recommend for a small family or couple!

The owners of this property did an incredible job making the house feel charming! You can tell they put a lot of effort into the design and decoration of the home, giving it a cozy yet modern feel! The location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere, including the shops, beach, and the free concert in the park! We loved having a front porch to sit on in the mornings and evenings, and there was plenty of outdoor space in the backyard as well. We felt that the house wasn’t as clean as we had hoped (stovetop and oven left covered in grease, toilet not wiped down, sand in loft sheets, dirty microwave, couch covered in stains). However, this is in no way a deal breaker! We enjoyed our time in Cape Charles and were very thankful for our stay here.
