If you value authenticity, but also enjoy comfort and convenience, look no further.
Thick adobe walls, flagstone and hardwood flooring, Luxury linens, new beds/sofas, full sized washer/dryer. Delightfully furnished with an industrial vibe.

The front bedroom has a queen bed, the sunroom bedroom has a king. Both beds with memory foam toppers. There is also a twin air bed available for a 5th person, which you can set up in one of the bedrooms. The "root cellar" downstairs is not counted as a bedroom because it does not have a large enough window to the outside to meet modern code, so should not be used overnight.
Note: Because of the steep, ungated stairway that leads down to the root cellar, this house is not appropriate for young children..
If somehow this place is available...BOOK NOW! Don't open 3 tabs with other options, this IS the option! This place has all the things and top of that you can walk anywhere downtown. Nancy was an amazing host! If you are still reading, stop and book this place, you won't regret it!
Comfortable, clean, great location, attention to detail! Host was very attentive. They have thought through how to make the stay fantastic. Back patio was truly an oasis. The host definitely has a green thumb. Great place to just kick back and relax. Has a grill but we didn’t use it. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you’d ever need. Beds were soft and comfy. Would definitely recommend if you want a unique, special place to stay in the heart of town.
Loved this property!! Beautiful lighting and space. Recently rented the property as central location near my wedding venue at the Stillwell House. The natural lighting and setting made for beautiful pictures. The bakery had everything we needed and the space for getting ready for the Wedding. Nancy is an amazing hostess and we are hoping to rent again in the future!
Very comfortable to hang out with small group of friends for mini reunion. Liked that both bathrooms accessible to all. Spacious living area and courtyard. Kitchen very well stocked. Day bed extra soft. Loved the adobe architecture! Check out instructionscdtraightforward and reasonable. Walkable to downtown and fun surrounding neighborhoods. Would definitely come back.
This was our second stay at the Bakery. We love it so much my wife said she'd buy it if it was for sale. The property is charming and the owners are great!
What a beautiful and unique historic home - we absolutely LOVED it! My girlfriends and I came to Tucson for a little reunion getaway, and I cannot say enough positive things about our stay. The place was immaculate and Nancy is a fantastic host, very responsive and provided a lot of great info about the house and things to do in the area. The Armory Park location was perfect for walking to downtown Tucson and 4th Avenue shopping, or just walking around in general - such a cool neighborhood! But back to the house.. very comfortable for our 3 nights there, love the decor and history of the home. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the lovely courtyard with our morning coffee (ahhhh, thinking about it now!) My husband is jealous after seeing the pictures, so we'll definitely keep this on the radar for our next trip to Tucson. Thank you again, Nancy - it was an absolutely wonderful stay!
Wonderful historic home. Nancy did a wonderful job with remodeling the bakery into a beautiful home. The design and eclectic decor with historical pieces is amazing. We so enjoyed the courtyard. It was magical. Especially in the evenings. The location was great. Close to bars and restaurants. Nancy also is one of the top hosts I’ve dealt with. We would stay again when in Tucson.
Owner was great! Weather not so much but we still had fun.
Great small gem tucked in a neighborhood a few blocks away from the bustling dowtown area. Host was friendly and prompt in answering questions. Check out a breeze. Looking forward to return visits.
A charming property that was a delight to stay in. Excellent choice
We loved the Bakery. The property was impeccably clean. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen was very well equipped. Bathrooms and medicine cabinet stocked with toiletries and common medications. Lots of little touches that spoke of pride of ownership. We would definitely return for a future visit.
From the booking to the last day of the stay this was one of the best VRBO experiences I have had. Nancy was so helpful with recommendations prior to travel. The place was even more beautiful than the pictures. The location was amazing. I was able to walk to nearly all of my destinations. I walked to eat downtown, walked to Kaelen Hartwell spa, and took a short uber ride to Tumomoc hill for a hike. I loved the privacy and ease of access. The streets were wide and had ample parking. The kitchen was equipped with everything I needed to cook. Loved this property and will be back again if I am ever in the area.
Wonderful 4th ave house - easy drive or walk to all Tucson has to offer!
We really enjoyed everything about this home. Highly recommend it!
After doing family research and noting many family members resided on Fourth, Stone and Convent Ave, it was a treat to walk around these beautiful neighborhoods and admire the homes and their gardens. Even better was returning to The Bakery and all its comforts. I most loved the courtyard and it’s fragrant orange blossoms, hummingbirds and an occasional gecko.
