Stunning Views with a private dock and hot tub. Great for getting together!

This was a fantastic stay for us! One of the most thoughtful hosts we have ever come across. Every single thing was taken care of with utmost detail. To top it off they are excellent with communication also.House is very spacious with rare to find 6 bedrooms. Walk to the lake down the slope is steep but fun and adds to the adventure. Overall A

Our stay at this wonderful location was perfect! The home was welcoming, and the views were awesome. Everything was pristine clean, to include the perfect hot tub. Kitchen was well stocked with all the right dishes, pots, and pans. Everything was absolutely perfect!

We loved the amazing views, the decks, hot tub, and outdoor fire place! The house worked well for our 2 families that included 4 adults and 4 teens. The hostess was great to work with and communicative. We really enjoyed our stay!

It could've been beautiful!This house was fantastic-truly better than the photos. The bedrooms were spacious and numerous, the common areas were nice, and the outdoor spaces (plus the view!) were absolutely incredible. We had a large group, and there were plenty of places to gather throughout the house. Unfortunately, the weather kept us from enjoying the lake, but the surrounding area looked stunning.The host was incredibly flexible with our group, which we really appreciated. However, the reason this doesn’t get a higher review is due to a tornado that passed through Estill Springs during our stay. While that’s obviously not the host’s fault, we didn’t hear from them at all once the power went out.I sent multiple messages via VRBO and text (my service was working fine) asking for information about the power company, whether there was a generator, and how to check out - but got no response until the next morning. With no lights or flashlights in the house, many of us left a day early for our own safety and power requirements. One guest fell down the stairs after phones had died as we had no backup lighting.When the host responded, they said they hadn’t received the messages until the following morning. Even if reception was an issue, I would have expected a proactive check-in during a weather emergency, or at least clear guidance on where to find emergency supplies. If not for the communication issue, this stay would’ve been nearly perfect for the price.

House and property were perfect for our large family. Plenty of space and activities for our 9 grandchildren (ages 4 to 17). I hope we get an opportunity to return!

The house was perfect for everyone. It was as listed and we enjoyed our stay. If we are looking for lake house again will definitely stay here.

We have stayed at this property two years for a family reunion. Lots of room and well-equipped. The only negative was the weather!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here! It was a spacious and comfortable place to gather family from several states and the kids and adults, alike, had a blast swimming around the dock. Rented this property for my husbands 30th birthday guys trip. They had an absolute blast, loved the location, and the house itself. It would have also been great for a family trip. Plenty of space and great sleeping arrangements.

There are so many positives about this VRBO: great big dining room table makes big group mealtimes extra special, nice upper & lower decks, lovely hot tub, beautiful view, plenty of bunk beds & pack n plays too, fireplace on deck for s’mores, plenty of life vests for water sports- in a variety of sizes- available in the garage, extra fridge in basement was great for keeping all our beverages cold. Fun area around the dock & great swimming but there are some things that IMHO need attention so felt I needed to knock off a star to be fair to future customers. I’ve communicated these things privately to the host, who was great to work with, & communicated with us quickly, when needed, throughout our stay. Several others commented on the steep & slippery path to the dock… the bridge helps but I would agree it needs more cross ties, steps &/or paving, etc similar to surrounding homes. It is a nice, rustic-casual place for multiple families & we very much enjoyed our stay. Bonus: It is just a short walk to the community dock where the neighborhood HOA sponsors fireworks on 7/4. We had front row seats to A fantastic show - we were really impressed!
