Stayed Dec 31, 1969Perfect location right on the quay, up 12steps up to the entrance (there is a handrail) to a delightful apartment, so cosy and very comfortable. view from all windows a delight! Very well equipped. High standard of decor and furnishings. Emma (the owner) very attentive and keen to make sure we contacted her for anything (which we didn’t need to) the property is literally minutes away from an intriguing area of quaint shops, restaurants and pubs- some buildings date back centuries. Grocery stores all within easy walking distance- in fact one doesn’t require a car here other than travelling further afield for sightseeing -except we didn’t feel the need as plenty of walks locally. We absolutely would love to return here- Thank-you Emma for your care attention -and squeezing me an appt in for a lovely manicure ? (directly underneath the apartment is a lovely beauty salon) we cannot recommend this accommodation enough

Stayed Sep 22, 2018Absolutely the best location for enjoying all the sights and sounds of Looe Harbour. The apartment is beautifully and tastefully decorated with all the amenities you need. Views from each window look out on the pier and the harbour. The owner, Emma, is very helpful and we enjoyed meeting her as we were walking the pier one day. All of the shops and restaurants are just around the corner and one could spend an entire holiday just relaxing in and around the Salt Loft or use it as a starting pointing for exploring the wider region. Could not get enough of this wonderful place and its atmosphere. Hope to return again some day.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969As an extended family we have been coming to Looe for over 50 years ,since my Mother and Father discoverd it in 1962.I can honestly say this is one of the best apartments we have stayed in . For cleanliness, equipment and certainly for location. Also for the personal touch when the snow was at its worst Emma came to visit us ,to see if we were ok or needed any thing .

Stayed Dec 31, 1969In nearly 50 years of Looe holidays The Salt Loft is probably the best property I have stayed in. It is outstanding - well equipped, comfortable, stylishly decorated and a wonderful quayside location. And there was a cream tea! Amazing!

Stayed Feb 4, 2017We stayed in The Salt Loft in early February. It is a really great place to stay, very nicely and comfortably furnished, warm ( gas central heating ), well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable bed, lovely large shower. Huge ( 52 inch ) TV, CD player and radio. Only two of us, but a good sized second bedroom ( single beds ) and enough space generally to fit four if needed. The location is brilliant, above a beauty salon / ice cream place, only a few feet from the river / harbour. Fairly quiet location ( in February at least ) yet no distance to Looe centre and the shops / pubs / restaurants. Only around 200 m from the Banjo pier and Looe beach. Great views of the fishing boats and across the water to West Looe, looked particularly good when all lit up at night. Looe is lovely, big enough to have a good selection of facilities, but not too big. The only downside is parking ( but I guess this applies to most places this central in Looe ). Looe was not laid out with cars in mind!!! You can pull up briefly right outside The Sail Loft for loading / unloading but the nearest long term car park is just across the bridge in West Looe, about half a mile walk I think ( a reasonable £2.30 for 24 hours ) Great cliff walks to Polperro and Seaton. ( and a fairly regular bus back from Polperro if needed ) We had a great week, weather was good for early Feb, even the one wet and windy day was OK, warm and dry inside, reading and watching the boats and seagulls.
