It it is beautiful home. Our only suggestion Is the addition of a grab bar next to toilet in master bath so my handicapped sister could off the toilet without assistance.
Beautiful home with everything you need!
This home and hosts are awesome in every way. The home was super comfortable, clean, well-appointed and full of fun things to do like ping pong, corn hole, board games, bikes, crabbing tools, and Kiptopeke State Park and beach less than a mile away. We also really appreciated the very complete kitchen with everything needed to cook for a large family. You can’t go wrong with this rental!
We are a family of 7 with 5 kids. Everything we needed was in the home ( minus food of course). The owners have thought of everything. We brought our two dogs and I totally forgot about bringing their water bowl. They had that covered as well. A large water canister with a mat was waiting for us. Plenty of games and puzzles for the kids. There is a grill in the back, a swing and bikes in the garage. We stocked up on food at the local food lion and cooked in just about every night. The beach is a short drive that you could bike if you wanted. The park has hiking trails and fishing as well. The neighbors are very nice and have a sweet dog.Best stay we could have asked for. Thank you for such a wonderful time.
1st time to Cape Charles traveled with Family for a Wedding at Oyster Farm and it was a great location to Cape Charles and other areas to visit. State Forest down the street has great access to a beach and boating. Easy access to Virginia Beach. We all had a great day! Thank you to the Homeowners it was a very beautiful home!
Stayed for a week in June and it was a great experience. The owners are top notch and have everything you could need on site. The house was very clean and modern and the beds were the most comfortable I have ever been in while on vacation. Less than a mile to the boat ramp at kiptopeke. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely stay here again.
My family and I visited the Cape Charles area the 2nd week of July. The Cape Charles retreat was the perfect place to stay. The home was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. A basket of snacks was waiting for us when we arrived, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. There was a ping pong table in the game room that saw a lot of friendly competition. The screened-in porch was the perfect place to enjoy listening to the birds in the early mornings. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. They provided a lot of extras that we really appreciated. Such as, beach chairs and towels, a pack-n-play, bikes and toiletries to name a few. We really enjoyed our time there. It was a great place to visit to reconnect with family and relax. Many thanks to our hosts for sharing their home with us!
The house is brand new, spacious, and meticulously decorated. The kitchen has every possible utensil (we loved the lemon squeezer) and the entire place had many thoughtful details — from facial wash clothes to plenty of soft towels and warm outdoor shower to rinse off the sand. The fully screened porch is really nice, and makes the nights so much more enjoyable. The ping pong room is great as well, and so is the ability to control the temperature in different parts of the house. The beach is about 1 mile away, and we’ve both walked and driven there easily. It’s not too crowded most of the time and has a doggy area. Overall, great experience, thank you Julie!
