We truly enjoyed our stay.There are a few things that should have been addressed or clarified in the property description. The major one is the boat lift is not available to use. It would have been nice to know that we only had access to the slips as we planned on using the lift. This is NOT a no wake zone so other boaters can cause a lot of wake and our boat took a beating just being tied, even with bumpers, and not lifted. The outdoor swings were rusted out and broken. One of the kids (7yo) fell through one of them the first time he sat down the very first evening. The outdoor grill was left dirty too.The amenities i.e., liquid hand soap and dish soap were watered down. The sponges were gross. The dishwasher soap wasn't good either and there was no laundry soap. There were no dish towels or oven mitts either. For these things, had we known, we would have brought our own but instead, spent a small fortune at the local store purchasing these items. We were only told to bring paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags so we assumed everything else would be provided.A couple ceiling fans didn't work and there were also a few burned out light bulbs. (no biggie)There was a foul smell in the first floor bathroom so we kept the door open the entire time. All in all, we would stay here again for future family get togethers and know we know what we need to bring.P.S. A blender would have been great.

Pros The view The fishing The AC Lots of fishing poles Cons Advertised as new - it’s not Advertised as 4 bathrooms - has 3Advertised as a “suite” on ground floor - you have to go outside to the other side for bathroom which was dirty with trash and underwear on the floor Must bring paper goods, trash bags, and soap - i feel for the price these basics should be included as they are in every other house in Jamaica Beach we have stayed. The kayaks were unusable The swinging chairs were broken and unusable The knob on the firepit was frozen and therefore unusable Renter beware - you are not getting what is advertised

Great house. It has so much more than any rental. Pots and pans, fishing gear, kayaks and so much I cant even think of. Great views. Great fishing!

The place was awesome and the Galveston rental property i picked up the keys from was super helpful and answered my questions. VRBO in the other hand is not helpful and that's all I say about that.

The house was very clean and well maintained even the first floor. Nice view from the third floor bed room. Great for fishing!!

Reviewer Comments: Galveston is our family’s Home away from Home and this house was everything we wanted especially if you like to fish and catch your dinner for a night. We have rented many houses in the past mostly beach side houses but this bay front house is much better than beach houses because you can do more at bay front ones. I would definitely go back to this house.

Awesome house in an awesome location. House was a described and was clean when we arrived. Managed to catch a few fish off the dock and even more out in the bay off our boats. Would definitely stay here again.

The main house and outdoor area were fantastic! Little details were missed though. Light bulbs out in bathrooms. Dead bugs on floor. Had to bring our own toilet paper and paper towels. The downstairs bathroom and bedroom had a really bad a smell. If we had family or friends staying with us, we would have been embarrassed to ask them to use those rooms. We stay in.shirt term rentals a lot and this one definitely did not offer conveniences offered by other hosts.

Beautiful property, fantastic views day and night, even in less favorable fishing season caught fish and lots of crabs. Great service from management. We have always enjoyed the family atmosphere in Jamaica beach; lovely area and friendly folks. This was our third family get together in Jamaica Beach and we plan to be back.

Stayed thru Tropical storm Alberto. House was nice but not much to do but watch the storm. Good fishing from the dock when we were able to get on it. House was very comfortable. Had a relaxing stay with no fault to house just weather.
