Wonderful, relaxing stay! Loved how unique the home was and that our family each had there own private area to sleep in. No cable so we had a great time building puzzles and swimming! Very private for quality family time!
We had a great stay! The property was clean, the mattresses were amazing, and it was such a cool layout! We enjoyed our time! We would absolutely stay again.
I am a repeat visitor to The Plant at Kyle and I have enjoyed it enormously every time that I have come. The property is both unique and well laid out for visitors, including those who want to entertain family and friends by cooking for them. It is a great benefit that the pool has a tin roof covering it because it means that you can enjoy without worrying about the kids getting burned. It’s on a beautiful piece of property with a lot of privacy, but not so far from town that getting groceries or visiting Wimberly is inconvenient. I definitely plan to return again.
We loved how this house was secluded off a dirt road. The layout is unique and works great for a group wanting to stay so everyone has there own space. The screened in area is nice. Our kids enjoyed the large saltwater pool and being able to bring our dog with us on the trip. I will say overall the inside needs a deep clean, there were dead bugs along baseboard in living area, cobwebs, bathroom attached to the room With bunk beds had ants on the counter and in the sinks. When it rained water came through the stone of fireplace and got all over the floor. The washer detergent area is moldy as well as the ring inside the washer so we had to use a laundromat to wash our clothes. We did keep all food put up, however we would wake up to mouse poop on the counters. I think in general this house should have some bug/pest control done in all living areas. We enjoyed our stay over all.
We loved the unique design of the house. It was so great to open up all of the doors onto the huge screened in porch. The pool area was great and the property is beautiful. So private and serene. Also the best stocked kitchen of any VRBO I’ve stayed in. It was a pleasure to cook in. Will definitely recommend and will be back.
This property was everything we were looking for and more!! It was a great place to entertain our friends and also a great place to relax and unwind.
Beautiful surroundings, inside and out. We particularly enjoyed the kitchen for cooking and the outdoor areas for everything else.
Beautiful home and setting. Very peaceful.
This house was gorgeous! The amenities were amazing and it was so cozy. There was plenty to do at the house and things to do nearby as well. If you stay here, be ready to spend time on a beautiful swing and some fresh air. Excellent stay.
This was our third time at The Plant and this time we invited extended family from out of town to join us and have a weekend escape. Making meals and relaxing by the pool was how we spent a wonderful weekend enjoying our time away from the hectic city life.
Wonderful house, lovely walks, and all the pool time you could ever want!
Cool architecture, a little too remote for my taste but very private. Great outdoor spaces!
We came to escape! My sister and I brought our kids for a much needed break. We woke up, swam, ate lunch, swam, had dinner, swam, put tired kids to bed, and repeat. The pool was sparkling clean and refreshingly cool even in triple digit temperatures. The cover allows you to stay out all day by the pool. Our city kids had some trouble at first with the wasps and bugs but we only had one bite and I was pleasantly surprised by how few bugs there were in the house and porch area for such a rural, open space. The house was perfect, clean and as described. We would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks for the break!
Fabulous, architecturally interesting, accurately described, and central location helped make a fantastic weekend for exploring Hill Country. Aside from The Plant’s architecturally stimulating environment, it had three features that we loved - a covered pool for shade, a huge screened in area for socializing/eating outside (while still technically inside), and a well-stocked kitchen hardwares closet/pantry which made cooking and catered meals super easy. The location is very good for exploring and the house managers are fabulous and very helpful. Thank you!
The property was fantastic! Beautiful architecture! Fully equipped kitchen. Large roomy bedrooms and bathrooms. The third bathroom was a bit rustic but served the needs of our family. The swimming pool was very refreshing in the hot temperatures! With GPS the property was easy to find and a good break from the traffic congestion in Austin! We definitely can recommend this property for your family vacations!!
Amazing place and architecture, quiet and relaxing, very close to attractions around the area. Great indoor and outdoor area kept impeccable. Pets friendly and a great pool area.
It may be impossible to visualize this propoerty until you experience staying at the Plant. The property is huge and you have the ability to hike out of the front door. It is very private yet near interesting places like Wimberly Glass Works where you can watch glass being blown and then you can purchase what you saw being created or head into Wimberly for shoping or a meal. The property offers three private bedrooms in three different parts of the structure. This is a perfect property for three couples who want some space from each other. We enjoyed the kitchen and eating outdoors in the huge screened in section outside of the kitchen. No bugs and a great breeze. We did not have time for the pool but it looked perfect. Huge pool, covered and very well maintained. If you stay at the Plant you remember the experience.
