Doña Ivelisse is the property manager, and her main contact number will be provided after the booking is completed! She oversees the number of guests and pets and provides access to the property. She does not live nearby as she is driving from the town of Lajas, so coordination is critical.
Our favorite eatery and grocery store is Ritamar Bakery. The mini market by the entrance of Villa Taina makes awesome sandwiches & breakfast. El Poblado has many other eateries like Rest. Los Remos. In front of the Club Naútico is El Rincón del Olvido with nice sea food fritters (pastelillos). The "Pika Pika"is a very nice Mexican restaurant.
In Casa Isla Azul, you are in the center of all the action Boquerón has to offer: El Poblado is a 6 minutes walk! El Balneario (Public Beach) as well. Playa Buyé is like 10 minutes drive away (be there early).Playa El Combate is a must with the famous restaurant Annies Place. Another most is a visit to El Faro de Cabo Rojo, (the light house), La Parguera (visit La Playita Rosada), Joyuda area is famous for the sea food eateries, Mayaguez and past La Parguera, you may visit Gilligan's Island in Guánica to name a few places...Your adventure begins here!
Great location- wonderful facilities for entertainment- pool, pool table, ping pong, 2 kitchens. WE had 6 of us- 4 adults and two teenagers and we truly enjoyed the stay. The kitchen downstairs was great for cooking(just lots of flies.) The oven upstairs did not work but we dealt with it. The iguana migration across the back road was a hoot to watch . The pool was sparkling clean and crisp but truly enjoyable. A great stay
Nice beaches in boqueron and playa combate. Watch the bus a-lot of mosquitoes at night and around the property. Propane tanks not filled, however owner responded quickly.
This was a Fantastic Spot ! Three blocks from Boquerón ?❤️??! Where Everything was in Walking Distance ! Peaceful to Relax day or Evening! The Worst thing about this place was We Had To Leave ???!!! Felt safe Day & Evening ?? I Definitely be Back !!! Thank you the Host ☮️❤️??
We rented this place for the Thanksgiving holiday. We were a family of 5-7 (not everyone stayed for all of the days) with pets. The space was large and everyone fit very comfortably without feeling cramped. We were also allowed to check in early, which was a huge plus. Two things that set this house apart is the proximity to beaches and the pool. The property is located less than 5 minutes (driving) from Boqueron, a beautiful beach. Off street parking was also a plus and the place felt very secure at night. The pool was nice for those weekend days when we just wanted to hang at home. The provided beach towels were a huge plus. Every room had AC including the living room, which was great in the PR heat. I'm sure this is the natural evolution of a home, but though years of wear and tear, this place could use some improvements. First and foremost there was a slight cleanliness problem. The solution being a proper cleaning before we arrived at the place. Another person commented on the bidet/toilet paper situation and I must agree with that assessment. None of the bidets work and we could only find 1 roll of toilet paper for each bathroom. If we are not allowed to flush, the bidets should be repaired.
We traveled with 8 family members to Boqueron and stayed in this home for three nights. The location was great, just 5 minutes from the beach and downtown, and 30 minutes from other areas like La Parguera or Cabo Rojos. The home accommodated all of us. The only downside with the sleeping arrangements was that the bunk room was downstairs. We had three kids aged 9-16 and they were uncomfortable about sleeping downstairs with mom & dad upstairs, but we made it work with the kids upstairs. The outdoor space - especially the pool was very nice and we enjoyed swimming every day. The only negatives to our stay were some maintenance issues - like the pingpong table was unstable and had a bent leg, so we moved half against one wall so the kids could bounce the ball on the wall. We did not use the pool table. My husband said only one pool cue had a tip. The pool net had holes, which made it difficult to clean the pool. The bidet in the primary suite was broken (the handle came off in my hand). We cooked several meals in the house and there was no towel to dry dishes, no oven mitt to remove something from the oven, and the kitchen sink didn't have hot water (lukewarm). We were also missing a cutting board. Minor inconveniences, but we worked around it. The beds were comfortable, but none of the beds upstairs had top sheets, just a blanket. For hygiene and comfort, a sheet would be preferred. Only one beach towel was provided, no beach chairs or other water toys. We had our own, so it wasn't a problem. We also enjoyed having a washer/drier on site to wash suits and towels before traveling. Overall, it was a nice stay. A little more attention to the maintenance and small amenities would be appreciated. Thank you for letting us use your home.
This house was beautiful and is exactly like the photos. Very close to small downtown area right on the water (2 minute drive) unfortunately the downtown area with shopping and restaurants is not open Monday through Wednesday. Only 1 restaurant was open those days. No shopping in that little area on those days either. The one thins negative about the house is, the owner asks not to flush anything, no toilet paper in the toilets. That makes things kind of gross in the bathroom. There is garbage cans in the bathrooms but not enough garbage bags. If the garbage is left there it will smell unless you take it out frequently. There were signs left in both bidets not to use them and they have these water sprayers under the toilet seats but one was broken. Oh and no hot water in the kitchen and very VERY slight in the shower. Not even enough to take a warm shower. All in all the house was great but these things would have been a deal breaker for me unless I was prepared ahead of time mostly about the toilet paper in the toilets.
The property itself is great. Plenty of space for families with children. Something for everyone. However there were two key factors that were wrong. The home was not cleaned and communication with property manager was not helpful at all. Though I was charged a cleaning fee when I paid for rental. I had to clean the house myself. After explaining to Dona Ivelissa the BBq grate was rusted and crusted in it. Grease on hood and stove in kitchen. There was nothing to clean it with. The coffee maker was not cleaned. All of which I took pictures of. Bathrooms were not clean either. And most importantly there were no screens on any of the window to keep out mosquito or flies. That is very important here in Puerto Rico. It wasn't until I messaged the Owner of the property did she bring a brush and foil for bbq. Outside of that she offered no resolution to the problems other than saying Sorry this is Puerto Rico. What was that supposed to mean? I am Puerto Rican and I never treat any of my renters like that. Instead of helping us she just cited the positive reviews. That is not good management.
This property was in a great location to some of the best beaches the island has (Combate, Playa Buye, Playa Sucia). The added benefits of an in ground pool and billiards table were great to have. We enjoyed our time there and the ease of getting around and enjoying Boquerón and neighboring towns. A short ride to the Cabo Rojo lighthouse was one of the most amazing experiences.
Very nice and owner was very responsive. Loved the swimming pool.
Everything was great, clean and covered all our needs. House is very comfortable and spacious, it is equipped with all house hold needs as described. Had a great time!
