Gallatin Gateway, Montana
This is an ideal location for your next fishing trip or family /romantic adventure. This property is located On a bluff directly above the Blue Ribbon trout Gallatin River. Just below the epic geological formation Storm Castle cliffs . Where many scenes in the Robert Redford’s tale “A River runs through it” were filmed. This provides you with over 2 miles of isolated private fishing access. Also, we are an hours drive of the Madison and Yellowstone rivers for day trips. There are 5 forest service trailheads close by And river rafting right down the road. Located 15 miles North of big sky resort which hosts many amazing summer activities ; Golf; summitt tours; ziplines; downhill mnt. biking; farmers market; a host of restaurants. 64 miles north of the west gate to Yellowstone National Park. The adventures are endless!! This cozy cabin is newly remodeled and spotless! It has 1 queen in a private loft and 1 bunk in the main level. Can sleep 3-4 depending. I personally oversee cleanings that adhere to all the CDC guidlines. The cleanliness and safety for my guests is my #1 concern ! Please come and enjoy a safe and relaxing vacation in rural Montana!!
Great place
I loved the deck near the stream. Close to hiking, and other activities. The stairs to the loft are steep. But there is a secure rail to help.
This is a calm and peaceful cabin, with the river murmuring right behind it. Excellent communication by the host, and exactly what I was looking for. Be aware that cell phone coverage may be spotty. My only very minor criticism would be that the wireless network is a bit anemic, but apart from that I got exactly what I wanted!
Awesome location and will definitely be coming back if it is still available in the future
Amazing views ... Cute lil cabin ...
Comfortable and clean cabin. Peaceful property accented with close by river. I would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I enjoyed a few days of our honeymoon trip here. The cabin was so cozy and a perfect getaway after such a busy season of our life. The view was spectacular and the cabin was clean and quiet!
Cabin is in a great location overlooking the river. Fell asleep every night listening to the water below.
My husband and I both have busy careers. Staying at this cabin allowed us to slow down, be in the moment, and just listen to the sounds of the river.
We absolutely loved our stay!! We have no complaints about our little cabin!!! I wish we could stay 10 more days!! Everything we needed was there. It was clean and we had plenty of privacy!! Will definitely stay again!!!
Very serene cabin, can hear the sound of the river like white noise if you open the window.
As far as the view and location goes, the pictures do this spot no justice. It is simply beautiful, and driving to Bozeman is quicker than I expected. The only thing I would mention is that the bedroom upstairs is up a set of stairs that may as well be a ladder - similar to attic stairs. If you're fully mobile It is amazing. Comfortable beds and amazing views. Couldn't have been better for us.
Very accomadating. All the nessecities you needed.Felt like home.
Very quiet spot located conveniently located between Big Sky and Bozeman. Awesome deck view of the gallatin river
Cozy cabin right on the river. Fishing access on site takes a braver man than me, but get in your car a short distance for easy access. The view and remoteness makes this a true Montana adventure and experience. Million dollar view and river rapids put you to sleep.
Nice
Nice to have a cabin by the river to myself. Note there isn’t a stove (just microwave) but it was fine for the weekend. Comfortable place and beautiful location.
Cute cabin along the river allowed us to visit Montana destinations with a quiet home base.
We enjoyed the Peace & Quiet of this cozy cabin. Thank you Ian for opening up your cabin for others to stay in. Beautiful location right on the river.
My husband and I had the best time at Storm Castle. Ian was a wonderful host. The property is so beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the sound of the river. Highly recommend this stay if you are looking to relax and fish.
This cabin is a neat little getaway and we had a relaxing visit. We didn't get to spend a lot of time there as we came to Big Sky for a wedding, but this was a perfect spot to operate in and out of. One advisory to other guests: Access to the loft bedroom is via some very narrow and steep steps. We're 68 yrs old and we did okay, but you don't walk up the stairs-- you climb the stairs using the railing. But there's plenty of room up top and the queen bed was really comfortable. There's a bunk bed on the ground floor so don't let the stairs dissuade you. :) The host has provided lots of odds-n-ends to make things enjoyable. We found bug spray, bear spray, etc. And everything else you'd expect; towels, dishes, etc. Oh-- it's easy to miss the turn onto the driveway so, Host, please those flags flying! :) Thanks for a good first experience with VRBO.
Came into Bozeman for a long weekend. Very convenient location between Bozeman and Big Sky Ski area. Was snake to enjoy the area and loved the Hot Springs in Bozeman! Me and my two teenagers enjoyed the cabin and was perfect for us. As stated there is a loft that wasn’t bad to utilize and the room upstairs was nice and roomy. Enjoyed dining on the deck and playing cards. And most the view and sound of the river! Beautiful weather and place just as described.
The property is very well maintained. It has all the necesseties and it's nice to take a warm shower from time-to-time. The view on the deck deserves 10 stars - millions of stars, eagles, wildlife, and comfortable seating. We stayed here and fished the Gallatin River and within Yellowstone National Park - easy drives. Host was very kind, personable, and helpful.
If you want to unplug and take a break this is the place. No cell service and didn’t even try the WiFi. Everything was a little cramped for my 6’ 4” husband but we loved staying here! We spent most of our time on the deck just enjoying the surroundings. The sound of the river day and night was very relaxing.
Very beautiful views from the property.
Ian was very helpful
We loved this place, it was small and cozy. We even had a couple dogs with us and made the place work for us. The view on the back deck is stunning and it is in prime location for numerous awesome hiking trails. Also liked it was right between Bozeman and Big Sky, which made it very easy to go into either town to do fun things. Ian and his friend Kenny are extremely friendly and gave great advice on the area. Only issues I ran into was, “communication prior to staying at the place” Ian is a very busy guy which put a delay in getting things booked in a timely matter and answering a pre-question. Also the WiFi is very intermittent and seems to only work in the corner of the cabin closest to the main house.
The location was amazing. The cabin was just as described. No TV, no phone service, internet if you want it (I did not). The views were awesome. We would definitely stay again.
Great views, river access and host was extremely nice and made sure we were set up, great place to relax we will definitely be back again
