We stayed at the lodge with my family, 19 of us including children and grandchildren. The property is nestled in a beautiful mountain spot that was very secluded. The house is large and fit us with plenty of room to spare. The pool area was outstanding with the heated whirlpool and steam shower. It was so convenient to have the pool to ourselves. It was heated and perfect for our family. We prepared all our food there and found everything we needed. The house is a little older and worn but so interesting in architecture and design. I always ask myself would we stay there again and the answer is a definite YES! Few places have an indoor pool, racquetball court, pool table, beautiful grounds, a large garage for at least five cars, and adequate beds for all. What a great find!
Amazing castle in the woods. We'd definately come stay again.
Good place. Shawn, the caretaker, is a saint and super helpful. Fun to have indoor pool that was SO warm. Nice projector with multiple streaming services. Nice kitchen. Multiple bedrooms. Negatives: heater was out, gas fires on but temps often in 50s to low 60s. Smelled like gas, was told it’s normal. Mice seen. Toilet seat broken on arrival. Water leak while there, lost water pressure for a few hours. Shawn was quick to address many issues but heater was out the whole week. While we had a good time overall, we paid too much money to have the multiple issues we did without any discount offered.
The house has some amazing architectural features.
Our family stayed in this amazing home. It was like staying in a castle. We swam at least twice each day, our grandchildren loved the open spaces outdoors, and we loved loved loved the kitchen. We saw moose 2 of the days - right in the yard. Amazing!
