Steps to downtown Bentonville II

Because the property was a type of duplex with multiple numbers and letters on the front doors, it wasn’t clear which door to open, so we tried to open the wrong property at first until we called the host (who was also unclear as to the numbers on our property). The WiFi information was incorrect on our listing, so I emailed the host for help again. There were no towel bars or privacy curtains on the glass door to the patio, which left us wondering if they’d rented the property too soon before finishing a renovation. Otherwise it was okay.

This was our fourth (I think) stay at Steps.. We've stayed at other places in Town over the years (we're hocked on MTB). Some - nicer, some - not so much, but Steps is usually our first choice. Location is excellent and town is growing rapidly towards south side. So, we walked to 3 coffee shops in the morning, 3 restaurants in the evening. I wish we stayed longer than 3 days.

All good Would help future guests to know that the latch requires lots of pressure to open. Tiny issue.

We loved our stay so much that we added an extra day. This property is modern and clean. The location is fantastic - just a block from some restaurants and a couple of blocks from the town square. Parking is plentiful and there is a nice large yard with a bonfire pit. The owners were very accommodating and great communicators. We will be back.

Excellent location in Bentonville for walkable/biking access to town square. Property is well maintained-would definitely stay again.

We were able to park on Friday and walk to all of our events. Great location.

We did not get to the property. Weather dictated that we reroute our flight so we never made it to Bentonville.

Great location within easy walking distance to downtown

Communication & Check-in was good. The guest information referenced a lockbox with keys, but we never located one. As mentioned in other reviews, the beds were comfortable, the location was great, and the bike storage was appreciated. Unfortunately, many of the issues noted in past reviews were still present, which left the impression that guest feedback isn’t being fully appreciated. These concerns are Ant infestation in the kitchen – we couldn’t leave anything out, which was very challenging since we used the kitchen for many of our meals. There was a limited supply of cooking, eating, and serving utensils and no cutting board, The sponge provided was used and dirty. Bathroom – there was no towel holder or bath mat, which made the tub slippery and somewhat unsafe. While the space was generally clean, areas like under the beds, bedside tables, and other less visible surfaces could use more thorough attention. Patio door – no window covering for privacy or to block light. Outdoor area – the enclosed yard looked unkempt, the grill was dirty, and the outdoor chairs were broken. While none of these issues warranted reaching out during our stay—especially since many have been noted in reviews over the years—we expected a better-maintained house based on the listing & cost. I see that many guests have left positive ratings, and I’m glad they have had those experiences. However, in good conscience, and based on our expectations, we could not give a higher rating for this unit

This was my fourth stay at this location and as usual, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The owner continues to add touches to the house which make it more enjoyable. The location is perfect for enjoying the downtown restaurants and is near bike trailheads.

Very nice home. Clean, spacious 2 bedroom Owner gave great communication Private back patio area A short distance to multiple sites/activities. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again

There was an issue with the AC and they were very quick to respond and resolve the issue

I enjoy proximity to all downtown Bentonville has to offer, within easy walking distance. This property is perfect for that.

Great location!

Amazing location in town, walkable to downtown square, restaurants, galleries. Bikeable to many of the major trail systems. 5 stars on location and the house.4 stars due to a few issues we had in the rental; the house is typically really well stocked for guests with everything you would need. We were missing a few necessities that were in the listing, but host was responsive to our outreach. Two major items for us - the garage door immediately broke the first time we tried to open it to store our bikes in the garage. Not having direct access to the garage made storing our bikes cumbersome - just ended up taking them inside. And there was an ant problem in the kitchen that we battled throughout our stay. I reached out to the host, who said they would get us some ant glue to put down but never actually received it. Hopefully these two issues are addressed, and then this is the absolute perfect spot!

Great location

Very nice and great location. The sliding door needs work, very hard to open if it will open at all. Suggest towel bars or hooks in the bathroom and handheld showerhead.

This super convenient cottage met our needs very well. It was clean, spacious, & comfortable, and literally just steps to downtown.

Decent place to stay.

We stayed for a business event held at the Ledger which was 1 block away. Got to spend the rest of the week with our daughter who lives in Rogers. Unit was clean, well appointed, conveniently located and easily accessed.

It was the perfect location for where all of my go-to places were. The only critique I have is that the wifi info in the bider wasn't up to do and some places in the binder that was recommended were no longer open/available. Other than that all the important big stuff (cleanliness, location, etc.) all on point and communication with property manager was super easy and efficient! We had a great stay! Thanks again!

The property was gorgeous and literally right downtown. Runnable, walkable, and close to biking areas. Highly highly recommend!! (Bonus: checkout was super easy. No long list of stuff to clean! Love it!!)

We traveled with friends (two couples in total) and were very comfortable in this home. We parked the car when we arrived and didn’t get back in until we left! Being able to walk from the house to local shops and restaurants, as well as The Momentary, made this a perfect spot for our group. Don’t hesitate to book!

We had a wonderful time at this house as we attended a wedding. We walked to the rehearsal dinner and downtown. However, the neighbor has a huge dead tree overhanging the backyard and house, It is trimmed but mostly dead. A 7 inch diameter limb fell while we stayed... it would have gone thru the roof if it fell differently. 10k pounds of dead wood hang over, and it is not safe.....

Clean nice house. I couldnt find the combo to get into the house, called Brandy, she call me right back, by tgat time I fiund my message with the combo. Brandy was very nice and helpful. Thank again!!
