Stayed Apr 22, 2025Great little cottage in a wonderful area of Lake Oswego. Host was very accessible and responsive. All that 1 or 2 people would need. The web site claims to sleep up to 6 people and that is theoretically possible but it would get way crowded with more than a few guests.

Stayed Nov 19, 2025This was our 2nd stay at the honey bee cottage. We really appreciate the pet setup with the front fenced garden and the back fenced yard. It really works great for our two pups. Not a lot of places allow for two doggies. They were so tired of playing together in the back yard that they conked out early and slept all night. We also really liked the doors on the dining area and the very comfortable king bed!Overall, our stay was very comfortable. Suggestions: refill the sugar - we only had one real sugar packet! Adding decaf coffee would be nice. How about a 2nd luggage rack? We used the high chair as a luggage rack, which also worked. Kind of strange having a bare light bulb hanging in the bedroom. Is that a current style? The umbrellas are a nice and practicaltouch, but could also use some hooks to hang up wet raincoats near the door. Maybe also a bathrobe hook on the inside of the bathroom door. We noticed the baseboards all seem to need a coat of paint. Also, a little nervous about slipping in the tub. Need either a mat or new non-slip surface. One time in a hotel I slipped in the ultra-clean shower and broke my nose. Very traumatic. But it was my fault because I did not use the mat they provided.

Stayed Mar 26, 2025The cottage is very clean and bright and pet friendly. I loved the large fenced in yard and the convenience of having a washer/dryer. Fabulous neighborhood. Grocery/coffee/library/hiking trail all are just a few blocks away.

Stayed Feb 18, 2025We were flying in on separate planes and times, yet they made it extremely difficult to get the check in information to the other person joining The appliances are extremely obsolete, broken and noisy. The door handle came off every time we used it The dryer even had a sign on it saying that you have to manually turn it to get it to work

Stayed Sep 27, 2024The property was nice, but the front lawn area was covered with stones and not usable. The interior was fine, with coffee and little nicities provided. The place was only 650 square feet which should have been listed. Seemed larger since the listing indicated that it slept 6 people. The check in the day before was cumbersome, unlike any other VRBO check ins. You also had to upload your driver's license or other government identification. I didn't know how to do that and an email indicated that the host would not be able to give me check in information without it. I spent an excessive amount of time with this process and it created alot of stress right before the trip, as I had many other things to do. The host really did not want to work with me on resolution, I have rented many places through VRBO and would not rent this one again. Also they would not give check in instructions until 2 hours before check in. It all seemed unreasonable to my husband and I.

Stayed Aug 23, 2024We stayed 2 nights and found the cottage to be very comfortable and well appointed. The neighborhood is very lovely and safe. We enjoyed walking our dog there in the mornings. There are many restaurants to walk to and a very good Farmer’s Market on Saturdays. It was a little strange in that the cottage was on the back of a lot off an alley. The front of the lot did not have a house (consistent with the rest of the neighborhood) and a large tree had been cut down and the debris was still in piles in the yard but I am sure they will have that cleared out soon since the place was so well kept. The other thing was there was a strong smell that I’m pretty sure was cleaning products. I appreciate a clean rental and it was clean. But the odor was very strong. Fortunately there were a lot of windows that we opened and it dissipated after about 24 hours.

Stayed Jul 18, 2024Very convenient location. Close to downtown. However, there was an extremely loud AC unit in bedroom, and neighboring barking dogs morning and evening. No ironing board, even though this is listed as an amenity. When I complained, the agent just said Sorry! First place with a kitchen that I've ever stayed in that lacked salt & pepper.

Stayed May 21, 2024I love this little cottage. I've stayed here twice now. I travel to LO for business a few times a year and want to be close to town, so I can walk to the grocery store, restaurants and even the office over by Whole Foods. It's quiet, clean and the host is very responsive.

Stayed May 19, 2024We have stayed here twice now. It’s a great location for walking, restaurants and safety. The property could use a little upkeep, like weeding and mowing but the bed is quite comfortable and it’s nice to have a little kitchen. Thank you for sharing your cottage.
