We stayed at Sunnyside with our 3 grown up children, their partners and 2 children aged 3 and 6 months. Potential havoc! However Sunnyside accommodated us all easily with enough space for the 3 yr old to tear around safely with supervision and everyone to find a reasonably quiet spot with the most amazing views over Worms Head and Rhossili. Chloe was extremely helpful throughout the booking and arrival process. The house was well equipped for such a large group although a washing line or tumble drier would have made things slightly more manageable. Similarly a dustpan and brush. There was more than enough parking for 4 large cars, but you need someone to call you out of the narrow gateway. There is a gate to the drive which makes the garden secure but it is not very child friendly due to spiky plants and small walls they can fall over/from. Not Chloe’s fault but following Swansea’s strict recycling policy was challenging in a heat wave with the food waste attracting fruit flies in the kitchen. Rhossili is breathtakingly beautiful though not best suited to children and heavily pregnant ladies. For that reason we needed to drive to other more accessible beaches such as Oxwich and Port Eynon most days. We have been coming to the Gower for 40+years so know that the roads on the Gower are very busy and narrow but as we were there for the first sun since June and just before the kids went back to school getting around was very stressful. We did have a great time at Sunnyside
Three generations enjoyed a family holiday in this comfortable house. The views were stunning and it is a beautiful area to visit. Good sized garden for children to play in. Would have liked a washing line or dryer.
Lovely house in a lovely location. We spent a week here in June as a family as we were down in Wales for our daughters wedding. The house and area were lovely. The kitchen was really well stocked. Some furniture was a bit tired but ok for a holiday rental. One thing that would have been welcome would be a mirror to aid getting out of the drive because the sight lines were not great. Otherwise thanks for a lovely stay
Lovely stay in a beautiful village. The house was just great- very clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. Would love to go back someday.
This house was everything one could hope for and then some. Made our family reunion that much more special.
This is a lovely spacious property with fantastic views and a great location. The beds and bedding were very comfortable . We had a lovely stay not spoilt be the very mixed weather.
A lovely house with lovely views and spectacular sunsets, Sunnyside has enough space for family to come together or find a quiet corner when needed. It is well equipped, although, to echo previous reviews, a tumble dryer would be useful to dry swimsuits, beach towels etc. Also, given the number of guests, an empty kitchen cupboard for food and groceries would free up worktop space.
Plenty of space, great views and walks. No real shops in walking distance so just make sure you are prepared. The lookout is good for coffee.
