Perfect location. Large, comfortable house. Lots of boats and toys for a fun week on the lake

Great Lake front spot, we made frequent use of the kayaks, dock and swimming platform. Amazing sunsets sitting at the fire pit (lots of kindling & wood provided). The kitchen is well equipped - we had a lobster boil (big pots, large plates & crackers ). The individual room AC controls was a big plus. The home was very clean and well equipped including lake towels. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

Our family (5 adults, 4 children under 12) just spent a delightful week in late August 2024 at the Lakehouse in Lincolnville, very near to Camden, Maine. The house is very well appointed, full of light, faces west and is within ~30 feet of Megunticook Lake. The lake shore in front of the house features a large dock, kayaks, and a floating dock off the shore. The lake is very quiet, few motorboats, and the shore opposite the house is undeveloped, no houses to spoil the view, and the sunsets are beautiful. Nearby are the towns of Camden (4 miles) and Rockland (12 miles); and 2 hiking trails (and a car road) lead to Mount Battie above the house, the highest point in Camden Hills State Park with a wonderful view of Penobscot Bay. Big, well-equipped, comfortable lake house. Great views, nice lawn and big dock. Perfect for watersports, BBQs, even rainy days, and close to Camden.

This is the second time we stay at Shelby’s Lake House. We love it! The house has enough space to accommodate everyone’s needs. The back deck is our favorite place to hang out and share meals when the weather is nice. Lake Megunticook is a great lake - super clean and not too busy. This was such a wonderful idyllic week in Maine. The house had everything we needed, plus beautiful sunsets, proximity to town, and wonderful hosts. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed here for 4 nights on a senior girls trip (5 graduates, 3 moms). The house is perfectly equipped with plenty of cooking tools, towels, blankets, lots of seating and room for sleeping. Special touches were an area binder with lots of suggestions for area activities and some eateries, and a basket with s’more goods for roasting. One note for bird watchers: the road behind the house is a bit loud for Merlin. We absolutely loved our stay and appreciate all the excellent communication and hospitality!

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The views of the lake were great. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and also the hiking trails which offered additional spectacular views of the lake and its surroundings. The house is well appointed and it is located close to the towns of Camden, Lincolnville, Rockport and Rockland where we enjoyed the restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this beautiful lake house.

We loved this house and our very friendly and responsive host. Being Right on such a beautiful, clean, and scenic lake was so relaxing and wonderful. My family was comfortable, and would love to return to this special place!
