Summer is fast approaching plan your Tahoe getaway now, mid week discounts are in place. Come up and enjoy the blue skies and crisp Tahoe waters. Hiking, biking, days at the beach summer in Tahoe is wonderful.

This upgraded Chalet is nestled on a quiet county lot surrounded by tall pines. This is the perfect blend of modern upgrades and classic Tahoe chalet charm. A very clever remodel expanded this traditional chalet into a roomy home perfect for families looking for a Tahoe retreat.
Enter through the covered front porch into a spacious great room, take in the beautiful views and make yourself at home.
The entry level features a great room with gas fireplace, dining area and remodeled, well-equipped kitchen. Open beams, pine ceilings and wood floors enhance the woodsy Tahoe chalet style. Two bedrooms and full bath are located on the first floor.
Upstairs there is a peaceful sitting room with fantastic views of the backyard, mountains and vistas. The primary, largest bedroom (with private bath) is a wonderful spot to relax.
The upstairs sitting area can be accessed by a spiral staircase from the living room, or the “bridge” from the other wing. The sitting area has beautiful views of the wooded lot and the mountains in the past.
In addition, in a separate wing there is a bedroom with vaulted ceilings and another small loft area with a double bed and single futon.
The backyard is a great place for the kids to play and the chalet is just down the block from miles of Forest Trails, walk to Osgood Swamp (great wildflowers in the spring) miles of trails for hiking. This is a great location for those that love mountain biking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. It is a short drive to fishing and boating at Echo Lake, the beaches along Highway 89 (Camp Richardson, Pope Beach, Baldwin Beach). One of our favorite walks is exploring the Kiva and Valhalla Historic Sites.
20 minutes to Sierra At Tahoe, 20 minutes to Heavenly (depending on traffic and weather of course).
This home does not have air conditioning.
There is an EV PLUG in the garage, NEMA 14-50 Guests must bring their own portable EV charger to plug in

While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay.

When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.
Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snow plows that clear the roads.
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)

    Had to call for WiFi info. Only one key inside and one in the lock box outside…at least one more would be nice.carpets on carpets are a major trip hazard. No way to park 3 cars in driveway. Why could we park one on street in summer time? Nice location. Fun watching chipmunks in backyard and a few squirrels. Saw a coyote running she street.

    4 brothers and spouses have a golf tourney every year needing 4 bedrooms. One spouse couldn’t make it so a son came which used the one bunk bed/twin room which worked out fine. Very quiet neighborhood and would love to rent again Thank you!! P&D

    This cabin was awesome and exceeded our expectations! Upon entry, the house is very warm but after opening the windows and turning on the fans the house remained cool for the duration of our stay in late July when daily temperatures were 85+. It was stocked with fresh towels and linens, all the essentials in the kitchen to make great meals, and the two living rooms and porch made it easy to lounge around. But who needs to lounge inside when the lake is a less than 10 minute away. Emerald bay is about 25 mins away, downtown South Lake Tahoe is about 20 mins away, and Sand Harbor is about 45 mins away. Side note, we saw Yogi bear down the street, but he minded his own business. Don’t leave food in your car or he might pay you a visit. Book it! You, your family and friends won’t regret it:

    We had a great stay in South Lake Tahoe. Great place for young kids—it’s well stocked with toys and sleds. Would definitely book again. Backyard is spacious and private. Community was quiet. There is jetted jacuzzi bathtub which was appreciated after ski day. Kitchen is well stocked. Rice cooker but no Crockpot. Driveway was a little narrow with snow accumulation and only able to use one garage space in winter as other garage bay contained snowblower.
