The house itself was the perfect size for the amount of people staying. We utilized every one of the 4 bedrooms. The 3 bathrooms were all exquipped with a shower/tub. I feel the house could have been cleaned better. The amount of spiders and webs in the house were numerous and I don't believe that a vacuum was used prior to our stay, or if it was, it wasn't used well. We don't wear shoes in the house and we all stepped on multiple wood splinters (I have no idea where from) and even a furniture staple. There was also a used bloody band-aid under the bed when we arrived. 2 large spiders accompanied us in the shower and luckily stayed out of reach on the ceiling. The majority of the pots and pans should have been tossed years ago. The handles are hanging on by a thread and I forsee and injury in the future, I'm just glad it wasn't us. 2 trash bags were not sufficient enough and none were provided so we needed to purchase more. There was piles of laundry on the floor in the laundry room and I'm not sure if it was clean or dirty, but i know it sat there for awhile judging by the spider building its web on it. There was still laundry in the dryer as well when we arrived. My family, as well as my cousin's family were still able to relax and enjoy our time together. We shared excellent meals and played many board games at the large dining table. I believe that with some updating of the essentials, and a little more care with the upkeep, this house will make many families very happy.
Property was just as advertised. 6 of us played 4 days of golf and returned to the comfort of this house. Large deck and two areas to lounge and watch the US Open after golf. Look forward to returning next year. Lots of courses to choose from.
I just want to start this review off with saying how well the communication went with James. He helped us with any questions we had and made sure we had an enjoyable time. The property was absolutely perfect! The pictures do it NO justice. The only complaint I have is that there was garbage from the last people that stayed there before us, but nothing we couldn’t clean ourselves. We will definitely be booking again, this was by far the best trip we’ve had!
Location was unbelievable - walk across road and put ski/board on! Just perfect! Could not find a toaster or cutting board which was odd but we made do. Little outdated and tad dirty but the location and price made up for that and would stay again. There were 8 of us (four children ages 10-12) and we all fit great and had a wonderful time.
House short on towels
Beth celebrated her birthday on the sixteenth of November, 2021. We could not have pick a nicer place to stay in all of western Pennsylvania. Rest assured… we will make this an annual event. I’m hoping to book your beautiful lodge in the summer with Beth and our three pups, Alex, Simone and, of course, our Peanut. Thank you Jackie and James for a most memorable stay.
We were impressed with this vacation home from our first impression until our departure. This lovely property has abundant amenities and and creature comforts: gorgeous natural setting with a large back deck overlooking the trees and a front deck overlooking the pretty ski hill, well-equipped kitchen, sturdy and comfortable furniture with 2 seating areas and a well-equipped laundry. The pool is a short walk away via the community's picturesque walkways. We enjoyed 4 fun-filled days and appreciated the unusual quiet and serenity. We are a married couple who enjoyed the bountiful space, but the house would also be superb for a large(12-15 person) family gathering.
No frills cabin but had everything we need. Does need Good cleaning, but bathrooms and kitchen were clean. Beautiful decks but no seating, except picnic table on back deck.
we Loved the big deck and had plenty of room to spread out on a rainy day.. We had a great time.. with the exception of dust
Decor was nice, king bed in master and queen in basement were hard. Basement was cold, damp, shower had bugs in it when we first arrived, stepson found trash in bedroom with bunks, some of the property needs to be fixed (screen sliding doors, wood in entrance. But for the price and location it was an OK place. Our dogs felt right at home the entire stay.
