Beautiful home and lots of room. The downstairs playroom was a bonus for entertaining the kids. Hot tub was clean and hot! Plenty of extra towels and blankets. The location was close to town as well as to major trails.
Great spot!
We were getting married in Olympic National Park and this house was so cozy! We didn’t have time to use the hot tub (but it looked so inviting!) The only hitch we had was the code we were given for the key lock box wasn’t accurate. (We were at the front door. I’m not sure if it was an operator error.) We texted Vrbo and it got settled in like 3 minutes. So it wasn’t a huge deal. The house was cozy. The neighborhood was adorable and very quiet. The walk to the beach was so peaceful. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!
We stayed a week in this wonderful vacation home. We enjoyed the ocean view from the dining room as watched cruise ships roll by. We took many walks on the beach down the street and watched the colorful sky at sunset sitting on the bench. The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked most of our meals here. The area had so many scenic drives and we roamed all over the Penisula taking it all in. Truly a memorable vacation!
We all agreed this was a great place to stay.
House was very clean and everything we needed was handy. Location was perfect for us. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and taking in the view of the strait.
The house is very functional and well equipped. Our family of 7 was very comfortable. Lovely ocean views. We didn’t have time to stroll to the nearby beach as we were out exploring the Olympic National Park. Highly recommend this property. Mattresses are very comfortable.
The house is well set up for a family vacation. We were three generations and were comfortable. Hot tub was enjoyed by all of us. Views are good and local walking paths are pleasant
Deer springs house worked very well for our 3 generation family vacation. Great view. Kitchen and dining worked for all meals.
This house was a great stay for our large family. It was clean, cozy, and inviting. We spent much of our time exploring the area and enjoyed the gas fireplace and hot tub each evening. The kitchen was well stocked with large pots and pans and all the needed dish ware which is so helpful when cooking for a crowd. We appreciated the little extras, too, like hot cocoa, coffee pods, etc. that were left for us. The bedrooms in the home were comfortable with the exception of the downstairs rec room. The beds were suitable for young children but our youngest two were too scared to sleep down there by themselves and the teens found it a bit uncomfortable. The master and the two queen rooms upstairs were very comfortable. The hottub worked great and we didn't have the extreme chlorine issues that others commented on. However, it was a minor inconvenience to have to walk through puddles to get to the hot tub. It would be good to bring flip flops to get back and forth - something we didn't think of packing since we were visiting in winter. Lastly, all correspondence from the management company was automated and the check out time was early, 10:00 am. We prefer a more personal touch even if it is just a quick text to make sure everything is ok but, thankfully, there were no issues to report. We'd recommend this home to our friends and family and would stay again ourselves! We appreciate the owners sharing their lovely vacation home!
We were looking for a place to have a family get together for new years. Our 14 year old enjoyed the ability to have a room to their own with foosball and air hockey. The home was perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood, close enough to downtown, and had some nice places to walk. The kitchen was big enough to have 4 people cooking. Very comfortable and cozy.
This property was great. 4 out of the 7 days we were there, deer just walked right up to within feet of us or hung out all around the house. Easy walk to the beach and the trail just down the road with a rope swing to land in the river was great too. Easy to access walmart for groceries within 5 minutes away and just lots of great details like that. House was very clean and had all we needed for a great stay. Small challenges were things like hot tub was very highly chlorinated. The first time it was opened, it burned my kids eyes before they even got in and 2 of them just didn't that day. The one who did get in didn't last long at all as he had the same problem. Seemed to get better each ensuing day as chlorine levels dropped but probably needs to be addressed. Carbon monoxide detector was chiming with low battery mode when we first got there and had to buy batteries to replace it to get it to stop so should probably keep an eye on that. Biggest challenge was with Vacasa itself. I sent a message before we left asking about check-in and no response. Sent question about having access to the neighborhood pool and golf course and didn't get a response until the day after we had left apologizing for the delay. Was really disappointed in the communication and removing a star for that primarily. Like I said, we'd stay at this property again, it was very nice and central to everything we wanted to do. The suggestions above are just to help landlord for the future. Thanks for a great stay.
I would have given this 5 stars but the guest bathroom curtain was all yellow on the bottom n the drain was clogged! I don’t know but we stayed at several Vacas properties, shower curtains need to be changed and all in working order!
Excellent house and location. Close to everything; the water, the mountains, the park and even grocery store. Had all the special touches and felt like we were home away from home. Highly recommend to others!
Overall nice place. Cleaning was missing some important details. The trash and recycling can were full and despite asking they were not emptied. The grill was very dirty and caught on fire at first use. The grease trap was full when we arrived and spilled and made a huge mess.
our family of 7 adults enjoyed this nice home for a few nights while touring the Olympic Peninsula. Clean, pleasant neighborhood, near Port Angeles and Olympic National Park attractions on the North end of the park. Similar to other reviewers, we had trouble getting the lockbox on garage entry door to work at all, despite many years of experience with technical items in our assembled crowd (and no problems with any key boxes on any other vacation homes during our trip). Probably something the owners would want to consider revising.
