3,000 sq.ft (4 bd + 2.5 bath) vacation townhome nestled in the trees of Little Cottonwood Canyon in historic Granite, Utah - 10 minutes from Snowbird Resort and 5 minutes to shopping and restaurants. Gaze straight up from the front door or through the many skylight windows to look for mountain goats grazing along the steep canyon walls. Enjoy the sauna, mountain views from four balconies, games of darts or billiards, movie nights with high-speed internet, and gather around the fireplace for a relaxing evening after a home cooked meal in the large and well-equipped kitchen.
LOCATION!! Skip the 1-2 mile car line leading up to the canyon on powder days!! Police stop traffic from entering Little Cottonwood when the canyon is closed for avalanche control. You are positioned to enter the canyon ahead of the line once they open. And if you leave for breakfast and want to come back to the house, just tell the police you are heading to your house on Quarry Drive. They will let you though.
The house is within walking distance of three trailheads for winter snowshoeing or summer hiking:
1. Alpenbock Loop - easy 1 mile loop for hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing
2. Temple Quarry Trail to Little Cottonwood Trail - hiking, trail running, mountain biking and snowshoeing
3. Bells Canyon Trail - 1 mile to a gorgeous mountain reservoir, 2.3 miles to a beautiful waterfall, 5 miles to a 2nd waterfall, and 6 miles to a high elevation lake
Recreational equipment, from skis to paddle boards, can be rented ~2 miles away. In the winter months, grab your skis and head up the road to Snowbird/Alta, or drive to the next canyon to Solitude/Brighton. Or drive ~45 minutes to Park City to ski PCMR or Deer Valley... so many options! In the summer months, take your fishing poles to the Temple Quarry Trail or drive your paddle boards to the nearby lakes in Parley’s canyon, Park City area, or Uinta mountains. We are happy to help with trip suggestions and local favorites- you can ride horses in the 600 acre preserve one mile away, take a white water rafting trip 45 minutes away, or visit some of our favorite alpine lakes. No shortage of adventures here!!
Our townhome is perfect for 1-3 families, a getaway with a few friends, or up to 4 couples.
We recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle in winter if you plan to ski. The condo can accommodate 1 small / medium car in the garage plus one vehicle in the driveway.

This is a beautiful, spacious home with wonderful amenities, including a sauna and pool table. Lovely kitchen, beautiful skylight views of the mountains, and very peaceful neighborhood. We had a lovely stay and recommend it very highly.
Very nice property!
Five friends flew into Utah to join me for a mid-week visit. The location was convenient and comfortable. Locating at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon gave us a perfect launch for hiking along the LCC stream and accessing the wildflowers in Albion Basin, as well as easy access to I-215 to get to SLC venues for entertainment and hospitality. The layout of the condo allowed for good separation so some people could read while others played pool or talked. Although it was hot, the AC was adequate and at night cross ventilation was easy. The instructions for entry and exit were simple, clear, and complete. The condo kitchen was stocked for simple cooking and everything throughout worked although they had some difficulty finding the on-off switch for the vacuum. Each person said they'd recommend this location and all wanted to return for another visit. A+
Thank you
Very convenient right at the base of the canyon. Had some great days at Alta and Snowbird. Really enjoyed the stay.
Our family had a wonderful stay in Carolyn's home with another family. Plenty of room for everyone, well stocked (but bring your own shampoo/conditioner and soap!) Carolyn is a dream to communicate with. We had an epic powder week and we had a great time skiing. Pros: Friendly neighbors, just on the mouth of little cottonwood canyon, so on powder days, the commute to the lifts in traffic was not too bad, about 30 minutes. Only about 15 minutes during off times. The pool table was a big hit! The kids want to come back to the house just for the pool table. Efficient snow clearing. Very comfortable home. Cons: Traffic noise on the street below the main sleeping areas. It wasn't too much traffic, but in case you're a light sleeper, the cars start early to go up to LCC. The private road to get up to the condo has a bit of a grade. One day, there was so much snow that the plow had trouble coming up the grade. It took the plow till about 1 pm to clear our road, but we had like 2 feet overnight, so I think this is rare. And the plow driver was super friendly! This did mean we had to put on chains to go up the grade on the snow days on our van, but it was easily doable with the chains. We loved out stay at this property and will definitely book again!
We had a fabulous time at Carolyn's home!! We ranged from age 76 to 13 and everyone was happy with the place. The views are incredible and the home very cozy. The most important thing was that Carolyn was very personable and easily accessible.
We loved staying in Carolyn’s townhouse. It had lots of areas to hang out in. The owner’s suite was huge with it’s own fireplace and sofa. Beds were very comfortable. We are a family of 4 but it would accommodate a larger group easily. The spacious kitchen was well laid out and open to the other rooms. Carolyn was very responsive via email. The location was very convenient to skiing. We would definitely rent this townhouse again for the next Utah ski vacation.
Fantastic location and very nice host!
Our group enjoyed our stay here!! We loved having entertainment with the pool table, dart board and games provided while we were snowed in!! Carolyn was also very generous and attentive during our stay to make sure the roads were plowed for us and that we had everything we needed!! This house was a 10/10 and accommodated our group of 7 with plenty of space!! We loved Utah + skiing snowbird and will definitely be back!
Our family of 5 loved every minute of our trip to SLC and the house was a big part. Tons (I mean TONS) of space for everyone. Comfortable beds, all the amenities, easy to communicate with, etc, etc ,etc. If you are reading this and wondering if the house will work for your group - go for it! You won't be disappointed.
Our family LOVED our stay in this charming mountain retreat- it felt like a cozy cabin in the woods, yet was so convenient to everything in the valley! We had fun playing pool and viewing the stars through the skylights at night, and the record player was a big hit with our teens. Thank you for a perfect getaway- we will be back!
