House was great, the views were fantastic and even got to swim in the pool during fall in MN! What’s not to love?!
Great location, property was very nice. Unfortunately, heated pool wasn't working and made swimming in a heated pool a dare and not to relax. One reason to pick this property was heated pool versus the several properties that had hot-tubs. May seem harsh, but the heated pool was the reason why we selected this listing when compared to others and to not have that made the decision wrong. Would recommend asking manager if pool is working properly before listing.
Great property. It was cleaned very well. The amenities were good in general, and the lake location is very good with a big backyard. Landlord was responsive to communication and questions. There were two reasons why I didn't give a higher rating. One is minor, and isn't the main reason, but the heated pool in the backyard was not quite heated as we had expected. More importantly, the listing said, and still says, that there are 5 bedrooms. I chatted with the owner about this, and he explained how on his end it does not show as 5 bedrooms, but somehow it does on Vrbo. Regardless of who's fault that is, it created a large inconvenience in our plans as our friends and I had planned accordingly. We made it work, but the owner was not apologetic nor tried to resolve the issue, was more like oh, not sure why it is this way, but there's 3 bedrooms not 5. Moreover, I told the owner, nicely, that he should contact customer support to fix that since it's quite a big deal when it comes to trip planning for guests. However, I can see that the listing still says 5 bedrooms, which isn't accurate.
First, as another reviewer mentioned, there are NOT 5 bedrooms, there are 2, maybe 3 if you loosen the definition. It worked OK for our purposes, but if you need 5 bedrooms, this isn’t the place for you. That said, we enjoyed our stay. Lots of space and 3 bathrooms, which was nice for our larger party. Much of the house looks recently renovated, interior is generally nice, modern, good window views of the lake and pool. My young nieces and nephews LOVED the pool, it’s not large, but was perfect for them. We actually liked the entire back patio area, well shaded, good for eating, socializing and the aforementioned pool. Not a swimming lake, but lake does provide a nice backdrop to the fun. A huge and open backyard, but also lots of goose poop so we didn’t use it much. The house isn’t far from either Annandale or Maple Lake so accessible to small town grocery stores, restaurants, and even a good brewery. The only other negatives we found were that the refrigerator was dirty upon arrival, the dishwasher is very old with lots of rust in its interior, and there is a large stain on the baseboard near the back door. Owner was responsive to one question we had regarding wifi and we had no problems checking in or out. Would consider staying here again.
Great VRBO experience all around! We did a work retreat in this beautiful & quiet setting. The pool was amazing!
We had a great time. The pictures list the property accurately and the place was clean and welcoming. Any questions I had the hosted responded immediately. We enjoyed bringing our dogs and they loved chasing the ball in the long backyard. The adults enjoyed sitting under the shade of the gazebo watching the kids play in the pool. I highly recommend.
Very nice, quiet, and clean cabin. We were on a family vacation - infants to grandparents. The listing information was inaccurate about bedrooms - there are only TWO bedrooms (but 5 beds, counting the pull-out sleepers). The lake is beautiful to look at, but it's not for recreational use. No boating; no swimming. The long yard was great for the kids. The area is very quiet and rural, including dirt roads. We made use of the kitchen, outdoor grill and patio. The owner was responsive when we called with questions.
Nice & cozy for a winter stay!
Beautiful house, cozy, very clean. Another fry pan would have been helpful.
Great stay. Property is perfect for a gathering. Only issue was the pool’s propane tank ran out on Saturday morning. The owner was responsive and hopefully will make the situation right, as it’s a main amenity to the property given the non-recreational lake it sits on. Would recommend and stay again!
We arrived and found the property as promised. Plenty of space for the seven adults we reserved for. Supplies were plenty- soaps, paper towels, etc. Safety and comfort were top notch! Would highly recommend and would stay here again!
