Second time staying here and it is AMAZING!
Very nice beach house so close to ocean and quick walk to town.. great space. Loved the large deck and hot tub was running and ready to hop into!
We had an amazing time here! The place itself was perfect for our group. Plenty of beds (very comfortable too!). Well appointed, steps from the beach..couldn't have asked for more! Glad to have both this and the bottom portion of the house to fit our large group and give us plenty of space to spread out and relax :)
Short walk to ferry. Loved having the hot tub. Beds were very comfortable Upstairs rooftop had spectacular views. We loved the house & ocean bay park
The penthouse was very nice. It was as advertised. The views were amazing! The beach chairs were not at the house however the manager found some and dropped them off. There wasn’t a wagon by the ferry but the manager was at the house and helped us carry things upstairs. Overall it was a nice experience.
The location of this place is great. It’s nice and private the furniture could use a little bit of updating in the artwork is interesting, but overall wonderful place to stay.! The kitchen was easy to cook in, and I liked the kitchen table. It allowed for all of us to eat together. The two restaurants down the block are awesome.!
The trip couldnt have started off worse. Arrived at Fire Island and there was no wagon where it was supposed to be. We called and there was no one to help us. We had tons of luggage and started walking to the house leaving half the luggage at the dock. Then arrived at the house and had only 1 code but there were two locked doors with different codes. So much for impressing my girl. She went around back and got inside through the sliding door which thankfully was open. Once inside the place was great. However the kitchen lacked amenities like paper towel, napkins, tissues, very few spices or things to help with cooking. Lids dont match pots, blender leaked. It was cold and the space heater only blew cold air even tho it was set to 90degrees. We used the wall heater. The mgr met us the next day, gave us paper towels and a 25% discount which helped quell my rage for paying an exorbitant price and having such an abominable check-in. He gave us a wagon but that too was broken. The hot tub had sand in the seats from last year and the water wasnt clear- gross. How do you not clean that before guests arrive? Vacasa seems like a decent company and they were eventually responsive. They just need to work out their communications and improve kitchen items. I think we were the first rental of the season so hopefully they will work out these kinks. The place doesnt look like much from outside but the inside is great. Id recommend spending a little extra and going for the penthouse.
Great views, great location, comfortable accommodations. The home has more of an old school Fire Island beach feel than that of a Penthouse. The main floor and its 3 bedrooms are well air conditioned, however the upstairs bedroom (queen and two singles) can get quite warm in the daytime as the air conditioning unit on that level struggles in the heat of the day. The unit was clean inside, however the windows and sliding glass doors were not cleaned hindering the fantastic views - so we had to clean them ourselves in order to enjoy the view. The washer/dryer while functional are located under the building which is less than convenient and hard to access. The beach chairs provided were worn and there were no bicycles included with the unit. While the views and location are great, for the price, one would expect more, from the furnishings, to the decor, to the amenities (chairs, bicycles, washer/dryer...).
Well stocked with pots and pans and dishes. Great decks including one high one. Some of our group enjoyed the hot tub. Vacasa did respond to our difficulties. Some problems were solved, such as wrong code for wagon and some they didn’t, such as no power in upstairs apartment. But the view, location and roominess was worth it. Would stay again.
My stay with friends was a lot of fun. My main concern is that the house sleeps 10 and at the price point we paid, that should be the expectation. When we arrived, the top floor was where 1 large and 2 smaller twin beds were. The top floor had no working air conditioning and it was not possible to even utilize this floor due to the heat. It was very frustrating since that top floor made up majority of the sleeping arrangements and people ended up having to sleep on the couch because the conditions in 90 degree heat is not possible to deal with. If the air conditioning is not a real unit and is a make shift one that doesn't even work that should be clearly communicated. With the cost of the house, it was extremely disappointing that we weren't able to utilize the top level where half the sleeping arrangements were due to this. It would be nice to hear back or get some sort of reimbursement. To pay 6k for 2 nights and not have utilization of the full house for sleeping - I'm extremely unhappy.
Very convenient from the ferry. The beach is only 2 houses away. The view is like your right on the beach. And it’s a short walk to a few restaurants and a small store. Enjoyed the house and would definitely vacation there again.
Beautiful location, but home is in need of many repairs. For example, lots of peeling paint, furniture falling apart, etc. The whole kitchen is not equipped for cooking, eating, or drinking. All this would be acceptable if the price was lower. May suit better a party college group, not a family.
The many rooms and amenities of this home were pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay there. Was great to have such a nice place so close to the beach and amenities around Ocean Bay Park. Comfortable beds and everything you need for a great stay. Would definitely go back. A few bits of note: 1. I do wish they would have cleaned the hot tub prior to our arrival. 2. There should be a sign letting the tenants on the below floor know that the 2nd floor and top floor space is not communal. Our privacy was invaded multiple times. 3. I would appreciate a recycling bin.
Top floor was awesome for sunrises
