The home was clean and the hot tub and pool were nice.
Easy check in/out. We loved the location being so close to the plaza for the Food Lion and places to eat. Beach was just a short drive. Ended up not using the clubhouse or pool because we spent so much time at the beach and at our own pool but it looked awesome! Loved the neighborhood for having dogs. Had an issue with a couple of maintenance things but they were willing to come and fix them in a timely manner. Pool cleaners came twice to treat pool and hot tub which was also great. House was dated but clean. Overall, we had a great time and the people at Vacasa were great with anything we would have needed.
Home was great size and many amenities. Stove top was completely cracked and unusable the first day we checked in. We were given a plug in camping stove to use for the week we were there. The dishwasher leaked water the first time we started it and it didn’t get foxed the whole week. Closed in the master bedroom on the second floor leaked water during the rain. Worst part of it all was that Vacasa office would not return my calls about these issues. I had to find the office and drive there to get anything resolved. We were given some money off but nothing got fixed.
Had a great experience from check in to check out! Everything was nice and clean and ready when we arrived. Very close to the water and shopping! . Will be back again!
Long story short kinda: Place was not clean when we arrived Dog hair everywhere (kind of expected since dogs allowed) Half the beds were not even made Some of the sheets were moldy looking and had dirt on them (we rewashed and bought some of our own) Large 4” hole in back porch that was unsafe for our children AC system for main area would only maintain 10 degrees lower then outside temp Elevator stopped working after day 1 Handle on back door fell off day one and couldn’t be locked for duration of trip Front door access code was never given because new door lock wouldn’t actually lock which also meant this door was unlocked for duration of trip. Told someone would come out but they never showed. Half the light bulbs were out Ants were all over the kitchen Overall other than new carpet the place was largely outdated, however, if clean wouldn’t have been a big deal. When I contacted Vacasa several times (4 at least) I was only able to have someone out to look at the AC which was not even a professional but just someone who worked for Vacasa that used a temp gun and said “its fine it just cant keep up” and that was it. He did manage to get someone out the next day to look at the elevator which was temporarily fixed. Outside of that it has now been a week and I am still waiting for the local manager to call me which I was promised would happen within 24 hours lol. While every person I spoke with was nice, overall there is just a lack of action which unfortunately was all that would have mattered. The only compensation we were given was the Cleaning fee that was a whopping 145$ (explains why it wasnt clean honestly). This list with pictures was also sent to Vacasa national text support number and I was told my case was escalated…which again seems to mean nothing. First time using Vacasa and will most likely be the last.
We loved all the little nooks and balconies for hanging out or getting away. The west-side porches were lovely shady spots in the morning (and probably a nice spot to watch the sunset in the evening , if we hadn't been out in the evenings) and the highest one worked well for our al fresco lunches when all the kids and grands were off at the beach. The pool is small, but was actually a lovely spot for lounging or cooling off at home, and the community pool was available for those who wanted to swim laps or play in a larger space. Nice tennis & pickle ball courts and a playground in that community area. And very close to the basketball court and pier to the sound. House is showing signs of its age and could benefit from something of a refresh, but even as a dog-friendly property it was clean and comfortable. Keyless entry wasn't working.
This house was in such an ideal location! Close enough to walk to a pier on the sound yo watch amazing sunsets and less than a 5 min drive to the ocean! After a long fun day at the beach it was so nice to come home to a pool and hot tub! The owners suite is perfect with a very large walk in shower and jacuzzi tub. It’s also separate from the other bedrooms which is a nice touch. The balcony off the master suite is nice and private and perfect for watching a storm roll in- we had a couple stormy nights. We had three adults and 4 kids in the home and there was plenty of room. Thank you!!
