Stayed Feb 13, 2026The house is clean and cozy. The location was incredible, so close to downtown but out of the fray. The hostess was very communicative and made an effort to ensure we had everything we needed.

Stayed Dec 31, 2025Gayle & Rob were the ultimate hosts. We happened upon their property on accident when I messed up our booking and booked in 2027 vs 2026. They were very accommodating with my last minute booking and saved our long weekend. We stayed over New Years and they provided us with local wine and yummy treats. They also let us borrow a cute book for our kids which they loved and read several times because they thought it was so funny. The house was perfect for our stay, sparkling clean, comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed visiting their meadow on their nearby property. Both Gayle and Rob were so welcoming! This was one of best experiences we’ve had staying at an VRBO. We can’t wait to visit again. Thanks again Gayle & Rob!

Stayed Sep 23, 2024The house was clean and comfortable with a large yard. Appliances were updated and all the amenities such as coffee maker with coffee pods were available. Supermarket and gas stations all within an easy 2 mile drive. There is a Whole Foods and Trader Joes about 3 miles from the house. The neighborhood is lovely and it is only 4 miles to downtown Asheville. The owners were very welcoming and willing to help out as needed. We will stay there again, if house is available.

Stayed Dec 26, 2023My daughter and I wanted a getaway to do some hiking around Asheville, while being close to the downtown area in case the weather was bad. The rental was very comfortable and Gayle was very welcoming and attentive to our needs.

Stayed Jun 15, 2023Our hosts were super welcoming, and it was convenient that they lived across the street. The property was spotless, very well laid out, and comfortable for our one month stay. Plenty of nice eating spots nearby. You are in the rural countryside, but you are still very convenient to I-26 and 2I-40 and downtown Asheville. This is very affordable for the area, and I felt we got our money's worth and then some. Wish we had rented it for two months instead of one, because our builder was late again. We had to rent a smaller, less nice place to cover the delay, and we paid $1,000 more for a month in a less convenient, less nice rental. It's just a great bargain for Asheville. Be sure to asks your hosts about their careers, because they have some cool experiences to share.

Stayed Feb 23, 2022Gayle, our host, was very responsive to any questions we had. We were fortunate to find availability between longterm rentals. Get one if you can. Has all the amenities you could want. She did advise that the best cell service is by Verizon. I always try to go by the Sierra Club philosophy of leave a place better than you found it. Gayle didn't allow me the opportunity, it was perfect from the start.
