Great location close to town yet remote and quite. It was exactly as described and we really enjoyed it!
Very quiet neighborhood. Nice dock and lake access for wading and using the canoe. Good bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen for cooking all meals.
Just what we imagined for a northwoods cabin. location near town but nicely secluded - there are neighbors but the trees and bushes keep this private. nice deck and view of the lake. Huge living room looking out to the lake. we would gladly rent again, thank you!
While the house no doubt needs some updates it was great to be in what was very similar to my Grandmother's house again. It is a cottage. Not perfect but full of all the right stuff.
Several bedroom lights were burnt out because of this our children were too scared to sleep in the rooms and shared beds with the adults. The back room/sun room smell was awful which made it impossible for anyone to stay or use the room. The TV remote had no batteries, it would be extremely beneficial for guests to have a smart TV to access streaming channels as none of the cable channels had kid appropriate shows at night. Today, you can find a smart TV for $100. The firewood provided is the size of a tree stump, literally impossible to light a fire. Are guests expected to chop wood? The canoe on site, not sure if this is actually for guest to use but assuming it is since it’s on site, has a missing seat (which is still manageable) but there are no paddles. We joked that the shovel next to it was suppose to be the paddle. I understand the cabin is outdated and in desperate need of some repairs, which is completely your decision to do but if you are opening the space for guests’ certain things must be disclosed, the oven is unsafe to use so there is no full kitchen. The refrigerator like many other things in the cabin has burnt out lights. The carpet is disgusting, even worse is the hallway rugs. I wish I could say we enjoyed staying in your cabin but that would be a lie, while the location is great, the interior and exterior needs a lot of maintenance. It’s covered in spider webs! For the amount being charged certain things are expected
We had a wonderful time at the cabin!!!
Nice old school cabin. Very cozy.
We had a great time. The property is definitely older, which the pictures accurately represent. It had a stay at your grandparents lake house while they're away vibe. Definitely not all the latest modern amenities, but everything was perfectly adequate. Spacious and comfortable living room made our group of 3 adults and 3 kids right at home. It could use some TLC here and there so if you want a place that's modern and perfect, this isn't for you. If you don't mind a few imperfections however, it's great. Great support from the management company while we were there.
We stayed here with friends for a wedding. A perfect home for a relaxing stay by the lake. Communication and check in were seamless.
Our entire family rented this cabin and the sister cabin as we needed the extra space (10 adults, 7 kids). We were glad we did as we mentioned several times it would have been uncomfortable to share the yard and dock with another group. The pictures listed are accurate - the house is in need of a major update but we were aware of that and old furniture doesn’t bother us. The living room was a good size and we utilized the screened in porch every night. While the kitchen is small the dining room has a large table which we actually used as a serving table and ate outside most of the time. The porch that wraps around the back was ideal viewing to watch the kids swimming in the lake. There were some weeds at the end of the dock (to be expected) but it didn’t seem to bother them one bit and the area closer to the shore was clean and shallow. We were able to dock our boat and a jet ski for fun on the lake, evening fishing was successful. It took a little bit of effort to get the grill working but once it lit there were no issues. It was clean and ready to use with extra propane available. The fire pit was also used and a nice area to sit and play bean bags. There seemed to be air conditioning on the main floor but not upstairs - there were a few fans available but we did borrow one from the sister cabin to put upstairs and that helped too. WiFi is available and works well. The stove is very old but worked just fine. There is a very random assortment of cookware available - a few more serving bowls and storage containers would be useful. Some of the pots/pans were dirty and had to be washed prior. I would recommend bringing some ziploc bags and aluminum foil. There was an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom but depending on your length of stay you might want to bring extra as well as paper towels. Plenty of bath towels and washcloths available. One other thing to mention is that the house was clean in the surface - bathrooms wiped down, carpets vacuumed etc…but the entire house could use a deep spring cleaning. Several cobwebs and dust/dirt noted in the windowsills, crumbs left from previous tenants underneath couch cushions (we had gone looking for a remote) and an old paper plate and card found under the couch (when looking for a toy). Again, surface cleaning was adequate but a deep clean would be nice. The location was excellent - just 15 minutes to nearly every attraction! Quiet property and ultimately a great family trip.
Overall- we had a great visit. The view was lovely. There’s a lot of space. We missed the note about sharing the dock with the boat house guests. It worked out but it did feel a little less private. The cabin could use some updates and very small amenities that would have help corral our toddlers. Overall fun vacation.
We really enjoyed this property, beautiful view of the lake, very spacious but yet cozy. It is very dated but that is definitely part of its character. My adult children enjoyed the boating, fishing and jet skiing. Very private but also close to town. Caretaker was extremely helpful and accommodating. We would definitely rent again.
house was nice once air got going and screen porch was aired out. access code was incorrect but called manager and she gave us correct one. carpet had a bunch of stains, but otherwise was clean. caught some small fish off dock. Nice stay overall!
Oven unusable as so much grease afraid it would start fire. Bedroom lamps shade fell off. Bedrooms were clean but the rest pretty beat up. Had to go buy grill pads as grill super dirty. I can do old and clean for the price but not old and beat up. Asked all year if things were addressed and never got a single answer until last of unreturnable deposit was made. Love the location though.
