Spacious, Beachfront Home with Free WiFi, Central AC, & a Furnished Deck

Trent was a god send, so friendly and he helped us old folks unload our heavy stuff! I don’t know how we could have gotten it hauled in without his generosity. The house was spacious and clean. It literally is the closest to the ocean than any other house in that area. Lovely patio with lots of chairs with an outside dining table AND a working gas grill. Yay! The kitchen is well equipped. Nice dishwasher, oven & microwave. The place is a little worn in places but not enough to bother us. Only three complaints. The sand isn’t cleared to drive more than halfway to the house which would make a big difference in accessibility. The dryer doesn’t work properly. It wouldn’t dry our clothes past one, maybe two loads and the key entry was totally inoperative, leaving us with one key for the door. All in all we enjoyed and would stay again.

Our family has never stayed at a beach house before. It was a wonderful trip! We loved being right on the water. We had some trouble with getting the door unlocked, but they helped us right away.

Midsummer Solstice was a great property. It does have some wear and tear that is noticeable, but we expected that from a beach rental. It is in a fantastic location and the beach was never crowded, even though you are right next to a public beach. The property was clean upon our arrival. However, upon opening the door, we noticed an extremely pungent odor of rotting fish that permeated the entire house. Every time the air conditioner would kick on, the fishy odor would waft through the house. Thankfully, we spent most of our time outside. The other issue we had was with the sound monitoring. While we certainly understand the need for sound monitoring, the devices emit a terribly annoying dripping sound. Once you hear it, you can't unhear it. This drip sound is in every room and will drive you crazy to the point that you cannot sleep. We would suggest these annoying devices be replaced by some kind of device that doesn't make any sound! Making sure your guests aren't throwing wild parties is one thing, making sure your guests cannot get a good night's sleep because of your monitoring devices is another. Some other small issues included: no remotes that actually worked on the blu ray player making it worthless, very limited included supplies like dishwasher detergent and toilet paper, and no other amenities like beach towels or beach chairs included. These were small inconveniences and did not impact our stay very much. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the property.

This is my families 3rd consecutive year staying here. It is a trip we always look forward to and have loved the house everytime. Already planning to make it 4 years in a row.

I contacted support numerous times. I have done numerous rentals through various companies and can honestly say this was the most disappointing experience I have ever had. The marble on the coffee and end tables is cracked and broken, pieces fell off on one of my guest foot. Multiple doors have cracked glass. The floor tiles have cracks all over the house. The dryer is a fire hazard. It does not shut off and it gets so hot you literally can't touch the clothes until they cool down some. The Keurig looked like it had been dropped and the water container for it was very dirty. The coffee pot was so old the metal bottom was rusted and wouldn't hold heat. The toaster would have sparks of fire. (A new coffee machine and toaster were dropped off after I reported the issues). 3 of 4 window shades didn't work properly in the bedrooms. The bedroom with bunk beds- the ceiling fan didn't work. The maintenance man did come and was very nice. He worked on the window shades and did finally get them closed. Also, the air unit kept giving alerts related to the humidity and seemed like it would work at times and not others.

We found many cockroaches, the rental company said they would send someone out, they did not.The stair railing was no longer fastened and created a very dangerous situation.The location was great.

Beautiful property. Right on the beach. Had a problem with the dryer so we called it in and the office responded promptly. They were very nice. We were there during off season so we met many of the people who live there year round and they were all so friendly and we had a great week hanging out with them. We also took a charter with Fear Knot and he was really knowledgeable, friendly, and just all around a great guy. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay. The house is very nice and met all our needs. Loved being so close to the beach.

The house is right on the water, basically in the middle of the island. It was a wonderful stay and we hope to return!
