Spacious, Air Conditioned Modernist Gem: Ideal for multi-generational vacation.

A wonderful house! Roomy, clean, well-stocked kitchen. Three generations thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would consider renting it again!

Property is beautifully designed, Japanese inspired, modernist. Very comfortable for our party of 7 older and younger adults. Quiet but close to Wellfleet and the delight of ponds and beaches. We will be back.

Peaceful & inspirational, contemporary & comfortable, large yet cozy this rambling multi-level home is a Wellfleet gem. Gwen & Steven’s home provided the perfect setting for our three generations of family to relax, reacquaint & reset. The architecture is creative & unique while the interior is lovely & filled with comfy modern furniture & bounart. Outside, where the house blends seamlessly with the terrain, the gardens, towering pines & babbling frog ponds soothe & enchant. The walk to town is about a mile & perhaps challenging for those with mobility concerns. Otherwise opportunities for walking & running & cycling abound. There is also a kayak available at nearby Gull Pond. If a Wellfleet holiday is in your plans don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy this treasure!

Open, airy, beautiful vacation house, tastefully decorated, with several nice features that put it over the top: really well-stocked and organized kitchen; a screened-in dining area that gives you the feeling of eating outdoors; cozy decks off the primary bedrooms (in addition to ample patio and deck space on 2 levels); modern A/C units; comfortable beds and furniture. Unlike many houses for rent, this one is extremely well maintained -- usually there's a broken screen that lets the bugs in, or some plumbing issue. NOT here! Clearly the owners are on top of everything. And both of them couldn't be easier, more pleasant or responsive! We will surely be back.

This property has lots of room for people to gather and visit. The backyard deck and patio are fabulous. The owners were so kind and generous. They freely allow use of their home and its contents. We used a lot of their suggestions and loved all that Wellfleet and their home had to offer. We had a great week

For the second year in a row, this has been a wonderful house for 3 generations of our family. There are common spaces to gather, indoors and outdoors, and also private spaces for individuals and families .

Three generations of my family gathered at this home for a late June week. The house was spacious and comfortable, with wraparound decks that provide little sitting nooks outside each bedrooms and one big outdoor eating patio. There were 3 comfortable adult bedrooms, and kids all did well on the pullout couch or cots. Kitchen is well-stocked and easy to work in. And the outdoor shower is such a treat! Location felt private with space for kids to explore, but it was so easy to pop into town when we wanted to. The hosts were warm and responsive from the first interaction. We couldn't have found a better spot to relax with family.

Steve and Gwen’s house gave us the space and comfort to have a memorable week together with our adult children and our grandchildren. The house, the gardens, the outdoor shower, the screen porch/dining room were all perfect. And Steve and Gwen were very helpful both before arrival and during our stay. We continue to savor our memories of a wonderful week!

This is a beautiful home in a lovely setting--a quick walk to town, a bay beach and near ponds and the ocean beaches. Most striking was how well equipped and comfortable this house is for a multi-generational family. There are large rooms for being together and spaces for quiet time as well. The owners clearly love this house and are eager to be helpful in any way. Our family hopes to return next year.

The Alter’s home was spacious, with enough bedrooms to accommodate our family of 8 (5 adults and 3 children). The setting was beautiful with decks on each level to view the gardens, koi pond, and simply to relax. The children loved the outdoor shower and exploring the gardens. The home is near numerous ponds, beaches, restaurants, and the town of Wellfleet. The Alters were always available by phone or text to answer our questions and were exceptionally accommodating to our specific needs. They were wonderful hosts. I would gladly return to this property.
