Spacious 5-bedroom A-Frame in South Haven with view of Lake Michigan

This house was great for our friends’ getaway weekend. There were 5 of us, and plenty of beds and rooms for everyone, plenty of space both in and out. The view of the lake was absolutely beautiful. The layout and special touches made this house so unique. You do have neighbors on either side, so while not completely remote we didn’t hear them at all. The host was quick to respond after we arrived and were trying to figure out the air conditioning, and we had no issues during our stay. The house is rustic with a lot of stairs, so I would not recommend for someone who can’t get around very well. I also wouldn’t plan on making any large meals as the kitchen is small, but it’s so adorable. Overall such a wonderful house.

This lakefront home is well-equipped, well-maintained, and in a perfect location. It's right off the Blue Star Highway and very close to an on-ramp for 196 so whether you want to go down to South Haven or up to locations such as Saugatuck/Douglas or Fennville, you're within 15 minutes of all of them.Tara is a very responsive host and answered all my inquiries super fast! She also appears to have thought of everything you might possibly need while on vacation. We spent about an hour after arrival just looking around and noting wow, we didn't need to pack XYZ - it's already here!. You could almost just bring some clothes and not pack anything else.The house is laid out in such a way that if you have a group, people can have their own space but there are also indoor/outdoor gathering areas large enough for everyone. Please note that there are several stairs to navigate if anyone in your group has mobility issues. The house is divided into a ground floor, the main floor that is about 15 steps up to the front door from parking area, then a loft at the top of the A frame with a bedroom and workspace.But of course the real showstopper of this home is the view! The house is set back a little bit from the bluff overlooking the lake so there is yard space for activities and there are plenty of Adirondack chairs, a fire pit, hammock, and even a porch swing for taking in those gorgeous sunsets.We have already talked about when we can come back!
