Spacious 5 bdr Lake Shafer house with breathtaking view

It was a very relaxing and quiet stay overlooking the lake. Really enjoyed seeing all the geese and other birds early in the mornings when they began talking off. I’m sure the experience during the summer would be much different than our stay over Thanksgiving week, but then all the possible water activities and the near by amusement park become available.

The house was spacious and lovely with a wonderful view of the lake. Location was easy to find and parking was ample. The bedrooms were good size and the bathrooms were comfortable. The kitchen, dining area and great room were very convenient and comfortable. The two decks and lakefront were excellent. I needed a spacious five bedroom rental and this was about perfect.

Family enjoyed our stay at this lake home. There was plenty of space and sleeping quarters. The house was very clean inside, would recommend outdoor furniture and spaces be cleaned up a bit before guests arrive, debris, leaves, spider webs, and bird droppings. I would reccomend this vacation home, beautiful views.

Overall the property was exactly what we were looking for to host our family vacation this year. Being right on the water and within walking distance to Indiana Beach (5 minutes) allowed our family to have a ton to do during our stay. The only two small critiques would be 1) the firepit area is quiet small and doesn't really allow for sitting next to it and 2) the decks could use a good power washing as they felt slightly dirty. Overall, the place was great and we would stay here again at this price point!

This house is amazing! It's conveniently located in the middle of the two courses we play. Also close to our favorite restaurants.

A great place for extended family to stay during Purdue graduation weekend

Are stay was amazing!

We 5 72 year old ladies had a great time. We went wine tasting, played cards, games and just talked and laughed. The house was very nice. The water had a horrible smell. There was a water cooler but the jug was empty. The lights were on the ceiling far away from the floor. Hard to read anything. The lamps in the bedrooms didn’t work. But nothing stopped us from having a great time.

House was great! We wanted to stay longer! The only issue was the water - some of our group are not used to septic. (I’m a country girl and I had no issue with it though) Lots of space so we could all be separate or together depending on what we were doing. And the only other thing was decks could have been cleaner. Would stay here again.

We always enjoy this house. This year there was a lot of food particles in the living room and child handprints all over the tv. We are not upset. We just wanted to make you aware. Also, you can get rid of the egg smell from your water heater by adding a magnesium rod to it.

Everything was great except the well water we had to drink and bath in. If that could be changed I would give it a 100%.

House is perfect location. Fits a big family! Could use some outdoor clean up and maintenance on decks. Easy stuff like Blowing leaves and spiderwebs. The well water stinks.

The property was incredible. Great location for the courses we were playing. The online photos don't do justice to how nice the house, and decks are.
