It was a good lake house. I did not like that the A/C could not be turned on lower than 75 degrees in 103 degree weather. It was ok it all you were doing was sitting still, but when moving around or getting ready it was very warm in the house. If you don't plan to spend much time there, then you should be ok. Also notice about A/C unit was not next to the unit but on the fridge. I didn't notice it until after we had been in the property for several hours. We had to take out the trash and wash the towels and do the dishes before leaving the property. It seemed like a lot of rules. Property management was very nice and tried to fix living room TV (not successfully), but we got it working later on. People were nice, location was good, overall we had a good time. We slept and showered and did 2 loads of laundry for ourselves. We even watched a family movie after we got the TV working. It's a good lake house.
Everything was good except the inaccurate description in the listing that claims to sleep 16 people. That said. The master has a decent king bed. One other bedroom has a decent queen bed. Then there are the bunk beds. The twins on top are decent enough mattresses and good for younger guests. The queen beds on the bottom (listed as sleeping 8 more people are terrible. They are older futon mattresses. Basically a queen size bag stuffed with chunks of foam. No one can possibly sleep on those. They need to be replaced with real mattresses if they are claiming sleeps 16 if your group is no more than 8 this house is relatively comfortable. If more than four adults are to stay there be prepared to go out and buy some air mattresses.
ON THE PLUS SIDE, LAKE HAVASU CITY IS AN AMAZING PLACE. WE WERE VERY THANKFUL FOR OUR GREAT FRIENDS WHO LIVED NEAR OUR RENTAL FOR LETTING US SPEND MOST OF OUR TIME & PREPARING OF MEALS AT THERE HOME. UPON ARRIVING AT OUR RENTAL HOME AFTER HAVING BEEN TOLD BY THE CLEANING LADY SHE HAD JUST FINISHED CLEANING FOR 4 HOURS. IT WAS CLEAR THAT HER IDEA OF CLEAN AND MINE ARE NOT THE SAME. LEATHER COUCHES HAD SEVERAL THINGS THAT HAD BEEN SPILT ON OR DOWN THE SIDE OF THEM AND CLEARLY HAD NOT BEEN WIPED DOWN IN A LONG TIME. THE WINDOWS/BLINDS AND DOORS WERE FILTHY. FRONTS OF THE DISHWASHER, STOVE & REFRIGERATOR WERE ALSO DIRTY. THE PATIO TABLE WAS COVERED IN DIRT AND OLD MARKINGS FROM DRINKS. WITH COVID THIS WAS NOT IMPRESSIVE. THE OUTSIDE GRILL WAS ALSO FILTHY AND PROPPED ON A ROCK AS THE WHEEL WAS BROKEN. THE INSIDE OF THE STOVE WAS ALSO FILTHY. DISHWASHER HAD A HANDWRITTEN PAPER BY IT THAT HAD CLEARLY BEEN THERE FOR SOME TIME STATING IT DID NOT WORK & DO NOT OPEN AS IT WILL SMELL LIKE ROTTEN EGGS. GUESS IT'S GOOD THEY LET US KNOW THAT WHEN WE ARRIVED NOT AS WE WERE BOOKING. CHARLIE THE HOUSE CLEANER & LOCATION BOOKING CONTACT SAID A NEW DISHWASHER HAS BEEN IN THE GARAGE FOR MONTHS BUT THE OWNER WOULD NOT LET HER ACCESS IT TO GET INSTALLED. THERE WERE SEVERAL PIECES OF TRASH LAYING AROUND THE BACK YARD AND UP ALONG THE HOUSE. AS WELL AS JUNK IN THE BACK THAT SHOULD BE HAULED TO A DUMP/IRON YARD. FIRE PIT IS THERE BRING FIREWOOD, MATCHES AND LAWN CHAIRS. HOUSE IS BIG ENOUGH FOR 16 BUT ONLY 6 CHAIRS AVAILABLE OUTSIDE. KITCHEN TRASH CAN WAS FILTHY INSIDE AND OUT. AFTER OUR LONG DRIVE TO HAVASU AND OUR FIRST NIGHT OUT, MY ADULT KIDS & SPOUSES WENT TO BED ONLY TO FIND THAT 2 OF THE 4 QUEEN BUNK BEDS WERE BROKEN BEFORE WE ARRIVED. WHEN I CALLED CHARLIE TO LET HER KNOW THAT ONE FOLDED LIKE A TACO AND THE OTHER MAIN FRAME RAIL WAS BROKEN AS THE FIRST SAT DOWN TO GO TO BED SHE SAID I AM SORRY THE OWNER HAS NOT GOT THEM FIXED YET BUT I KNEW THEY WERE BROKEN. BRING TOILET PAPER TOO! AT THIS POINT I AM TOTALLY DISGUSTED AND CHARLIE HAD THE OWNER CONTACT ME. WHEN I TRIED TO LET HER KNOW OUR ISSUES I WAS MET WITH ABSOLUTE UNWILLINGNESS TO LISTEN AND THE EXCUSE THAT SHE HAD JUST BEEN THERE PRIOR TO OUR ARRIVAL AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. SHE SAID AS FOR THE BEDS THEY ARE FUTONS. GREAT FOR HER THE HOUSE SHOULD BE ADVERTISED AS WILL SLEEP 4 ADULTS AND 12 SMALL KIDS. VRBO IS THE WAY TO GO! JUST NOT WITH THIS OWNER.
Over all a great weekend the house could have used a bit more cleaning it we made the best of it and enjoyed our weekend thank you
Nice and clean organized house. Bed was comfy and parking was great
Great house if you have a big group of people! Backyard is great for dogs to run around. Very spacious will rent again
On a busy street, hard to park trucks and trailers, gate to get in is narrow when trying to park the boats. Listing showed garages when booked but no access when showed up. Trash in backyard. Bbq from previous renters was disgusting (we didn’t use it because it was so gross). Beds very uncomfortable and worn in. Dirty dishes in the cabinets. Lights not working, AC sounds like an air compressor (very loud). Big enough for 12 people and nice decorations. But needs a lot more love to make it a great rental. Found trash and such under beds from previous renters. Hated renting through Evolve, will never rent through them again. Customer service was awful when trying to get questions answered and to ask for more nights to stay. Loved Havasu but won’t rent this house again.
The rental process is straight forward and the house was represented well. The issues I had were somewhat picky. The house was clean, but the yard had weeds, and some personal trask on the side. Some lights and fans didnt work and the matresses were well worn. Other then that it was ok. The street is very busy and didnt feel comfortable trying to park my boat in the side yard with the trash and no real security.
The house has a great layout, there were 9 of us and we never felt crowded. Good amenities, paper plates, coffee, etc. We appreciated the bottle of champagne, had mimosas! Unfortunately the house was not clean. There was dog hair all over the couch, dirty dishes in dishwasher, moldy coffee grounds left in coffee maker, dusty furniture, and there was a sock (not ours) in one of the beds which made us wonder if sheets were changed after last guests. You should look into whoever is supposed to be cleaning the house because it’s not being done.
