Originally built in 1925 in Andalusia, Alabama, this timeless 4BR/4.5BA cottage-style home was transported to Blue Mountain Beach and then fully restored & renovated in 2016.
The complete interior renovation incorporated a modern design plan with coveted features such as Pecky Cypress beams, shiplap walls, side sewn pine floors, floor-to-ceiling kitchen cabinets, a luxe marble tile master bathroom and so much more. Not only do this house boast southern charm, but this house has also all the glam and comfort you need on a beach vacation.
Located just less than a 5-minute drive to Gulf Place, this home is the perfect getaway home away from home! Gulf Place is located along a 26-mile stretch of sugar-white sand and turquoise waters of Northwest Florida's celebrated Emerald Coast. Gulf Place is one of the 16 distinct beach neighborhoods in South Walton that has its own character and charm. This colorful community is one of 30A's original new urban developments. The 25-acre community is located in the heart of Santa Rosa Beach on the corner of 30A and 393. Gulf Place was specifically designed to slow folks down with beautiful palm tree-lined streets, wide sidewalks, outdoor patios with large umbrellas, nature walking trails, plentiful green spaces, and plenty of park benches to sit and enjoy the views.
What makes Gulf Place unique from all the other South Walton neighborhoods is the mixture of full-time residents and short-term vacationers that all gather here to enjoy original art, boutique shopping, local cuisine, live music, and a laid-back atmosphere.

- This home accepts a maximum of 2 pets. But pets must be approved in advance and are subject to an additional fee of $150 per pet and a deposit of $300. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.

- Please note our occupancy includes an additional two beyond bed count. Trifold floor mattresses and additional linens can be provided upon request.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.
This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.
As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.
IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

AvantStay has partnered with VayK Gear, a beach gear delivery service provider, to offer beach gear rentals to our guests!
Guests with reservations of 2 to 14 nights at participating AvantStay properties will receive a credit towards beach gear rentals during your stay. The credit amount will vary based on your booking. You may use your credit for bicycles, chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, boogie boards, and more - the choice is yours!
Once you’ve made your reservation at one of our participating properties, be on the lookout for an email from VayK Gear to make your gear selection. If you reach the credit limit, you can still add additional items priced at their exclusive, discounted rates. To keep your vacation stress-free, your gear will be delivered to your rental property on the day you arrive and will be picked up the day you depart.
PLEASE NOTE: From mid-spring to early fall, beach gear inventory - especially bicycles - are in high demand and may be limited. We recommend reserving your gear as early as possible.
*Credit is applicable to guest reservations of 2 to 14 nights only. There is no cash value if the credit is not used. Some properties do not participate in this program and will not have any reference to beach gear credit in their property descriptions.
Beautiful property but rip off mgt company. They for damages after the fact- we left it better than we found it. Sad, great place but do NOT rent this place Avantstay is a rip off!!!!
We enjoyed the house very cozy
This house is a rare find in a great location. Spacious floor plan, thoughtfully furnished, quiet neighborhood, convenient location, timely host communication, and a great value. Who could ask for more?
House was great. Rooms are very large and master bath is larger than most normal home bedrooms. Adequate supplies etc and furnished well. The downside was that Wi-Fi was not working when we arrived. I called twice, and finally sent a message via the Vrbo app. We received zero response, but the Wi-Fi provider showed up on the second day. After trouble shooting, they basically had to do a full installation. We had some wedding events to go to, had no communication form the property manager, and ended up leaving one of our party at the property to watch our stuff while the repair guy was at the house. Overall, the property was great, but the communication from the property management company was the worst that we have seen.
Very spacious, clean and well kept home. Ideal for our family of 6 and our puppy dog for a weeks getaway
Southern Charms is an awesome house. The large kitchen and open floor plan we excellent. The large bedroom and baths made for a comfortable homey feeling. The house is just a few minutes walk from 30A. We loved the dog friendly community.
The property was very nice, lots of room, in a very nice area, and very accessible to the beach. I'm not sure who we were in touch with via email, but they were very responsive. The only negative comment I will make is, if you are offering and presenting a house this nice, it would make sense to clean the backyard as well as the sides of the house, neither were presented very well. All in all, thank you for making this a pleasant stay for me and my family.
The price was on the high side, but other than that, it was a wonderful stay
Beautiful large house. Every room was awesome! Lots of privacy in each room . The location was perfect. We will be staying here again.
