A crowning jewel of Bryson City this 4 bedroom 100 year old home sits on the banks of the Tuckaseegee River just outside of Downtown Bryson City. The stocked delayed harvest river provides the tranquil setting for this exquisitely built and designed house just brimming with southern charm. Lots of great outdoor space, multiple deck areas, the second level deck off the bedrooms is just stunning, hot tub and all the comforts of home inside one could ask for, come check it out for yourself!

We did want to mention the town is doing some road work near the house, unfortunately its not something we can control.

We loved this house. It was very comfortable and our boys (big and little) enjoyed the river. The host was great and kept us up to date on an unexpected issue with the town. This is definitely the best house on the block, no question, but we did not care about the neighbors. Would definitely book again!

This 100 year old home is absolutely gorgeous. The owners have taken great care to preserve the historic integrity and still provide modern day convenience. The furnishings and decor take you back to when this home was built and you can imagine what this area looked like at the turn of the century. The kitchen is well stocked with items you will need to make meals (I would suggest bringing some extra throw away items: sponges, plastic bags/reusable storage containers etc.) A washer/dryer made it easy to pack light. The beds are all comfortable and the bathrooms are large (start up toiletries were provided until we were able to get to a store). We loved the sitting room with the switch on fireplace and the game room for family time together. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking and large towels were available in the game room area. We were in close proximity to the downtown area and two grocery stores. We were a short drive to Deep Creek, Cherokee, Alum Cave, Soco Falls and Lake Fontana for hiking, boating, paddle boarding and swimming. There was construction on the road, which the owners revealed prior to our stay. There are some run down areas further down the street, but we did not go down that way as there was a lovely yard to walk our dogs. Outdoor porches/seating where everywhere to enjoy the view. Check in and check out were easy. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a family vacation that all of us will remember!

Beautiful home, right near the water. Enjoyed Bryson City, the Great Smokey Mountain Railway and local shops! Home was very comfortable for the family and you can fish right out front! Great views of the river.

The house was great - had a lot of charm and was plenty big enough for our family (8 people). Beds were comfortable and check-in process was a breeze. The owners were very responsive when I asked a question. The location is very convenient to downtown Bryson City, and the views of the river are really nice. However, the neighborhood is kind of dumpy with a lot of trailers and yard trash. My dog was attacked by an unrestrained neighborhood dog while we were walking. The dog came out of a residence that looked like it had been abandoned years ago, but someone came running out to get the dog. The neighborhood didn't feel unsafe (other than the dog situation), but it wasn't a great vibe.

The house was nice, but it needs more comfortable seating. The living room needs recliners, and the TV is hung too high for comfort. The sunroom/playroom a a wonderful space, but it needs a sofa and TV. Also disappointed that there were no dish cloths or dish towels to do the dishes, but it did have a dishwasher. We were unable to regulate the temperature. We froze downstairs and roasted upstairs. The location was convenient to town, and it had a nice river view. It had lots of space for our family; plenty of tables for eating and plenty of bathrooms too.

Plenty of room in the house and very clean. Not far from the Blue Ridge Hwy or the Smokey Mountain National Park

House is spacious with good views of the river. Very clean with lots of amenities. Great as base camp for outdoor activities in Nantahala, Deep Creek and Bryson City.
