We hosted a small reception at this home and had our family stay with us. It was perfect! John and Martha were so helpful! Highly Recommend.
This is a beautiful old farm house, the property was beautiful had cows, horses and so many wonderful sounding birds. The porch outside had 6 chairs that we sat every evening and just sat and was so nice. Like I said the house is over 50 years old and it should of been cleaned better, there was a dirty soap dish (full of scum and a bar of soap, that I cleaned out) in the master bathroom shower, the floor boards were very dirty, like no one ever wiped them down. The pool was full of leaves and dirt that we could not even go into the pool, there was no diving board like the photos showed, no ping pong table like the phots showed, we called the Maintenace person that was listed in the house book and he called back and said he had not worked there in three years that we should call the owner. The owner came and fixed the couple of issues right away. I was a bit disappointed when i first arrive after flying 6 hours to get there for the price I paid, but after I woke up the next morning and had my coffee on the upper porch and sat a bit, it was so peaceful and we enjoyed our stay. Would I go back again? YES, I would.
Loved visiting with the animals on the property. The Upper Bay Trail was close by the property. Home had all supplies available. Approximately 20 minutes from the mall. Nice pool area. Unfortunately, it is too cold this time of year. The only negative would be the water had a lot of iron in the water causing discoloration. The owner does provide water in the home. The owner is very helpful. There is a water treatment system on the house. I would recommend the property and stay again. The barn is wonderful by place to visit while staying at the manor.
Wonderful location for family and friends
Used this wonderful house for wedding guests and family. Clean, comfortable and quiet! Hosts were extremely kind and helpful. Wonderful Estate property.
This was absolutely the perfect place for our family to be together for holiday celebrations. So much room indoor and out!! It was loved by everyone … kids and adults. We had a great time and great memories at The Manor. Definitely would stay again.
John&Martha Are very kind and nice. The place is beautiful and very peaceful. I really appreciate what they do and for sharing such a beautiful place.
Country in the city. The property is 3 minutes from a major tollway , 10 minutes from two different grocery stores yet is set in sight and sound of cattle and horses. Owner delivered fresh duck and chicken eggs on the first morning. There were Sandhills cranes and wild turkeys 50 yards from the house. Also numerous hawks and egrets always about. It is a working farm as advertised so there is a bit of traffic ( equipment and people ) moving around. The house Is dated but very comfortable. We spent Thanksgiving with family at the house and had a great time. The owners was friendly, helpful and available. We would highly recommend this rental.
We shot and film a Country music video. I was here for 3 weeks and it was perfect. John the property manager was amazing. I will be back for a family reunion in the future.
Just a great stay, John was very attentive and the property is set in their extensive multi-acre land. The manor is full of character, one of a kind. Will very likely come back.
