Typical beach box with enclosed porch and open deck.Kitchen utensils were somewhat lacking.Outside shower was not accesible because of high sand in front of access. Use of that shower would help prevent sand from getting inside.Overall it was a good experience. Had a problem with lock but it was our misunderstanding of code. Tech came within hour of calling to look at problem.

The ocean was only a very short walk away which was great. I’d highly recommend this house for a small family. Also it was wonderful walking into a clean house, which usually isn’t the case! The location is wonderful, close to shopping and restaurants. Great place to stay!!

The house is decorated beautifully and is very comfortable. Proximity to the beach is fantastic and the neighborhood is quiet. We will be back next summer. Our dog loved it, too.

Very cozy, small and clean beach house. Only few steps from the private beach. We liked this privacy. We have a family dog traveling with us and it was very nice that dogs are allowed on the beach as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the OBX. The location of this house was perfect for lots of beach time with little people. A few items to note for improvement: House was not super clean upon arrival. A grill provided would be appreciated. The outdoor shower....wellll a path through the sand with a sand floor leaves a lot to be desired. But overall, it was fine and would recommend the stay due to the location.

Beautifully updated, well put together, immaculately clean, very close proximity to a convenient boarded walkway over the dunes to the beach, relaxing screened many pleasant things about this home! Carolina Shores has always been wonderful in providing all of the things needed to make our week comfortable. We throughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

The no-key deadbolt was a nice add, but I missed not having access to the garage. I previously kept my car hitch tray and the large totes in there for security. Also, I had used a shovel that was in the garage to clean sand off of the drive and made it easier to get to the outside shower. The outside shower is nearly out of the question as it is now. We had brought along some movie DVDs, but no DVD player. Another change that needs to be made, there is no ocean view as depicted. We hit a few of our favorite dining spots, but mostly ate inside. A couple are Great Gut Deli in Wanchese and Salt Box Cafe back on Colington Rd in KDH. We also did some walking at the Nags Head Woods Preserve, which was very nice, except for the Deer flies. My wife did pick up a nasty splinter on the deck area, This should go to a Trex-like material for safety and longevity.
