SLOPESIDE CHALET, Near the top of Shay's Revenge / Ski in-Ski out / Great Views

Very nice property. Pictures posted by owner don't do it justice. Owner has thought of everything, all the little things. It was decorated for Christmas. There were plenty starter logs for the fireplace as well as the lighter, brochures for the resort, propane and charcoal grills, extra garbage bags etc etc. All the little things that sometimes you forget to bring along... 2nd floor livingroom with its high ceilings is definitely more spacious and it quickly became our main gathering/hangout spot. Can't wait to visit again.

Host was very helpful and quick to respond. He gave us very detailed directions for the best routes to get to the cabin. Beautiful views , sunsets and close to slope. Shuttle service was very nice.

Very comfortable and spacious house. Easily accommodates everyone. The owner is very kind and concerned about the guests' comfort. Plenty of firewood for the fireplace, perfect. Great location and kitchen with all the necessary utensils. We will certainly return. Thank you, Phil.

So, I must have missed that this house was actually 2 separate apartments. It was fine except when it was raining and we wanted to go hang out together. When we first got there we discovered 2 chimney swifts that had become trapped in the upstairs apartment and died. I felt so bad. Poor things. My husband checked the chimney and the damper was not used. We did like the location and we had a nice time.

Amazing stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Slopeside Chalet! The host was responsive to all of our needs and provided some helpful knowledge about Snowshoe for our stay. The home is just as advertised - walking distance to Shay's so is ski in / ski out for those who can ski blacks, and for those who cannot the shuttle is convenient, and takes no more than 10 minutes to pick you up when called. The house was stocked with plenty of firewood, and we were able to utilize both fireplaces upstairs and down. The upstairs living area has a great Western view out of the A-frame window, and was spacious enough to accommodate our whole crowd for hanging out at the end of the day. Added bonus there were deer outside each morning so nice to see some wildlife right outside the windows.

Overall not worth the price and was really disappointed for 8k. Expection by owner to remove all trash 1 mile down the street is ridiculous. It is not 1/4 mile. Master closet was unusable stuffed with owners bedding and furniture. Bring your own kitchen supplies. Stuff is so old it’s unusable. Just piled in the cabinets. I went out and bought cooking pots. Location is good but the place is not maintained adequately for renters.

Everything was very clean and convenient, the area was super nice would 100000% recommend.

We had a 7 day stay with Family coming from all over the east coast. the property is maybe a little tired (but still better than my house), but everything worked and nothing was anywhere near bad. We gave the place a run for it's money and it held up well. The views were spectacular. the atmosphere was tremendous.

The owner is very communicative and very nice. The location and views are fantastic. The downstairs condo plumbing needs updating. The toilet kept overflowing. The stone stairs has a top loose step that needs repaired, elderly person almost fell. The upper deck railing needs repair. This is a good place for the money and has the potential to be amazing.

Me and a group of friends rented this place out for spring break and it was amazing. The house was super clean upon arrival and included many amenities. The house is also located about a 2 minute walk to the ski slope which was a huge plus. Also you can’t beat the view of the sunset on the front porch. The owner Phil is super friendly and easy to get in contact with if needed. Me and my friends will definitely be planning a trip back up here soon.
