Stayed Jul 3, 2025Great place to relax, beds are comfortable. Smart TVs in the rooms. We were allowed complete access to all of the property which includes ponds, a river stream, and areas around the property to sit and enjoy the scenery. Couches and chairs are also very comfortable. Soaps, lotions and other commodities are available for use. Its almost like the owners prepared for us to forget things. Fishing on the property was also fun. Overall, we completely enjoyed our stay.

Stayed May 23, 2025The purpose of our trip was to attend a wedding. The Sleepy Lagoon became the main event, rather than the wedding. We were close to the Global Wildlife Center, which our 3 year-old loved. We had a family nature day fishing and wading in the creek. This VRBO provided all the comforts of home. I highly recommend staying at the Sleepy Lagoon!

Stayed May 4, 2025We arrived Sunday afternoon and left Friday morning. Check-in and check-out were simple, hassle free. The kitchen was well stocked.The grounds were amazing! Went for a few walks to the river as well as around the lagoon. We enjoyed a campfire one evening. The house itself was spacious and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of places to get a bite to eat, local eateries as well as the usual chain places within a 15 minute drive. For a great cup of coffee or beans to grind in the coffee grinder I recommend Haven in Covington. I would also recommend Fontainebleau State Park which is about 25 minutes away. We drove to New Orleans to visit the WW II Museum and the French Quarter. There are plenty of other things to do in the area. I wish we had more time to enjoy the grounds though.Time to just hang out around the property.

Stayed Mar 3, 2025We did a couples trip and I tell you everyone approved this 10 out of 10 stay.This place made our stay feel like home. Our 2nd day we had all our reservations cancel due to a unexpected storm and this cottage provided enough space to play games (that's already provided) we were able to cook and clean with out extra store runs. Everything mentioned in the description was just as it says. The host greeted us with detailed instructions that I read out loud to my party 30 minutes before arrival and they felt welcomed before the arrival. The level of hospitality is unmatched. The community was very welcoming as well. No complaints !
