We're thrilled to share our house in Kauai with you!
There's a swimming pool, botanical garden-like setting, and location that's extremely convenient for exploring the island.
Our plunge pool is perfect for cooling off after a day at the beach or just lounging in all day while staring at the 100 year old monkeypod tree overhead.
The house is in a peaceful tropical location, but just 10 minutes drive to the beach, rainforest, restaurants and town of Kapa'a.

Stayed Nov 7, 2025What a great place to stay, my wife and I had the best time and this central location made it easy to get to any place. After sight saying and hiking, this is the perfect home to relax and recuperate and get ready to go again.

Stayed Oct 18, 2025Hosts were very responsive to our 1 small issue and it was resolved quickly. They went above and beyond. House had great amenities. 2 boxes of tissue mosthosts ignore this. Plenty of TP small starter dove soap. There was shampoo conditioner body wash laundry soap and sun screen all great when you are staying on an Island you dont have to run out for basics.and the ice maker works

Stayed Mar 31, 2025It's not far from whatever you need, but also out of the way enough that it feels private and more remote. The property itself is perfect for honeymooners. We stayed in three VRBOs during our honeymoon in Hawaii, and this was my wife's favorite.

Stayed Oct 9, 2024We had a lovely stay at the Sleeping Giant Cottage. We loved having our coffee in the morning sitting on the screened in lanai, to be fair we spent almost all our waking time on the lanai. We were able walk to the trailhead for the Sleeping Giant. We enjoyed the privacy of the plunge pool and it was a great place to cool off! The cottage was surrounded by greenery and trees, it was very nice to just enjoy the views. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals at home. There is no AC in the cottage, however they supply plenty of fans and there is great air flow in the house with lots of windows and sliding doors. Location of the Cottage was great for us, it was secluded and tucked away from the main villages. It took about 11 minutes to get into Wialua by car. We would definitely come back and recommend for couples looking for a relaxing getaway.

Stayed Mar 28, 2024We loved this property! Very clean & comfortable with all the necessities. The location is great -- very easy to find and right outside of Kapaa with easy access to all parts of the island. The weather was cool and rainy for much of our stay (which is why it is such a beautiful, lush island!), so did not get much use of the pool, but it is a nice addition for warmer weather. We would definitely stay at Sleeping Giant Cottage again.
